Missing Surround (VPT)) settings
Without the VPT surrounds settings, in specific the concert hall setting, these headphones sound terrible for classical music. Had the WX-1000MX2 and the VPT settings made classical music sound great. Just recently upgraded to the MX4 and was very disappointed to see that setting removed.

Quality Sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never had noise canceling headphones before getting these, but now I know why people swear by them. The sound quality is AMAZING. You can adjust everything manually or use the preset levels to customize the sound to your audio. You can also turn the noise canceling on/off, or make it light so you can still hear noises or someone trying to talk to you. Really loving these! The other feature I love is when you take the headphones off, your audio pauses! And the controls are built into the outside of the ear pices, so you can tap to pause or swipe to change the track. Don't even need your phone!! Hands downs, these are worth every penny!

Impressive in every way!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I have owned a number of over the ear headphones from a number of different brands, these wireless noise-cancelling headphones from Sony are the absolute best! The noise cancelling function (this is my first pair of headphones with that feature) is no gimmick - it really works! Now I can focus on the great sound rather than external noise, and in a house with young children, there is a lot of distracting noise! The noise cancelling feature, as with many of the features, is adaptive, so it takes into account your surroundings which is really cool. I was blown away by how light these headphones are too! That they are lightweight combined with incredibly soft ear cushions makes for a really comfortable pair of headphones that can be worn for extended periods without ear or other discomfort. The battery life is phenomenal and the app works fantastically. You can even take a picture of your ears to customize the audio features with some of the high quality music streaming services (which you get a nice free trial). It really does make a difference. The case is also convenient and slim as well and is firm enough on the outside that it protects the headphones. Overall, this is an awesome product that is lightweight, super comfortable, portable with great battery life, and of course, offers excellent sound with noticeable noise cancellation. I can't thank Sony enough!

Great Sound but confusing touch controls
Sound is clear and comfortable. Noise canceling is great and the ability to recognize you are walking and allowing ambient sound to pass through is a great feature. Product would be excellent if I could get the touch controls to be responsive, often resort to one device controls because the touch controls are so spotty.

Sound Experience of a Lifetime!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love these Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-canceling Headphones. When first putting them on, I was not sure what to expect, but I was blown away by the sound quality. I closed my eyes and really felt as though I was at a live concert. The sound, rather than just hearing it directly in my ears, it was coming from the sides of me and in back of me. It was like being at a live show. I was so absorbed in the sound, that I completely lost track of time. I have tried many different headphones and usually feel discomfort after a few minutes. These are lightweight and I use them for hours at a time. I love the ease in which they connect to my Wi-Fi and the app. The app gives you complete control, including an EQ. I highly recommend these headphones if you are looking for the utmost in sound quality, and if you want to experience the sound like you are there live. These are the best I have ever had. You will be totally mesmerized by the quality of the headphones themselves, and you will be taken away by the sound. I promise you will love them!

Noise canceling is awesome!
I purchased these headphones to use on calls in a Data Center environment. The noise canceling was awesome. So was the build and ease of use. On music the sound was flat that was fine for me because I was using it for calls. The microphone was not good. I had to talk fairly loud for people to hear me.

Great Product!

Expensive and excellent
Great product, received as a gift. Sound quality is excellent and this is the first time I have tried headphones with "hearable bass". The noise-cancelling is great when reading or performing daily routines (cleaning etc.). Althrough expensive, if you can afford it, then it is definitly worth a buy.

Garbage Bluetooth Connection
I have had these Headphones for about 3 months and I couldn't be more upset that I didn't go with BOSE... I went with these headphone because they where highly rated for adaptive noise cancelling and sound. I can say first hand that everything seemed great at first until and was working great until an update on November 4 and since that point the headphone are basically useless. The Bluetooth basically stops working 75% of the time and the adaptive noise cancelling went from great to poor... not sure what happened. I wish Sony would figure out this issue as I'm very dissatisfied with my purchase.

We'd like to help troubleshoot the issue and make this a better experience for you. If you're not able to make Bluetooth connection, please check the following steps: Check that the headset is turned on. Check that the Bluetooth device is turned on and the Bluetooth function is on. If the headset automatically connects to the last connected Bluetooth device, you may fail to connect the headset to other devices via Bluetooth connection. In that case, operate the last connected Bluetooth device and disconnect the Bluetooth connection. Check if the Bluetooth device is in sleep mode. If the device is in sleep mode, cancel the sleep mode. Check if the Bluetooth connection has been terminated. If terminated, make the Bluetooth connection again. If the pairing information for the headset has been deleted on the Bluetooth device, pair the headset with the device again. If the effect of noise canceling is not sufficient. Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on. Adjust the headset into a comfortable position. The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient. Resetting or Initializing the headset may resolve the issue. If the headset cannot be turned on or cannot be operated even when it is turned on, press both the power button and the CUSTOM button simultaneously while charging. The headset will be reset. The device registration (pairing) information is not deleted. If the headset does not operate correctly even after resetting, initialize the headset to restore factory settings.
