I received Sony - WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones as a gift from my father-in-law. I'd been researching brands and models for months and finally asked for advice from someone more knowledgeable than me. My father-in-law decided he'd just buy me the same ones he bought for himself. The sound quality is phenomenal and the features included are fantastic. Super comfortable, durable and decent color selection. I love them!

After hours of research, I decided on the Sony WH-1000XM4. I was traveling and I needed something noise canceling. Everything is top notch for me with this headset. The fit is great. The sound is amazing. Truly noise canceling. I have recently started listening to audio books before drifting off to sleep. Even laying on a pillow the comfort is better than I could have asked for.

The sound and the noise canceling is very high-quality very comfortable to wear, especially when my wife is watching something different on TV. I can watch something without disturbing her. I use my headphones, mostly with my 13 inch iPad. The only issue I notice is sometimes it turns itself off and I’m not sure why it does that. Maybe there’s something in settings that I’m not familiar with.

excellent audio quality, has ear pressure adjustment feature in the app that helps with relieve on ear pressure, battery is very long lasting. Pretty sure XM6 is better since it is the newer version, but this one is reasonable priced!

I honestly had high expectations for this product and was amazed to discover they were far exceeded in every respect. The materials, construction, and finish are some of the best I've seen. The sound is clean and clear, and it's highly customizable via the app on your phone or with your favorite equalizer. They're extremely comfortable.

Let me cut to the chase. Doesn't fit great. Loose when wore. Slides down when you tilt your head. Sound quality when taking calls is awesome. People on the other side of the call can hear your background noise. But they hear you very clear. Battery lasts upto 3 weeks of office calls.

had problems pairing with my Sony TV and Samsung phone could not use both devices at the same time so I had to get a refund and go to Target to get the XM5s which work just fine too bad Walmart doesn't carry them in store I would have bought them there

I bought them for my husband. They were dead in the box when we opened it, so an immediate charge was necessary to even turn them on and they wouldn’t turn on while they were charging. After about 2 1/2 days of usage he was convinced that they were nothing like what he expected. We have a pair of Sony SRS-XB343’s that are pretty tough to beat ( as a pair, through Music Center). At the same time we were trying to figure out why it had to be charged again so soon. It might have been on, without ANC on, for no more than 24 hours. Needless to say, the disappointment ended as I plugged it in and the charging port melted. So if you asked me would I buy them again- absolutely not. He loves music too much to put him through that again. He reluctantly popped his buds back in and said, “. At least we know for sure now because we tried them ourselves.” (Himself really, I just had to laugh through it…😇☀️)

I used the headphones for a couple of days and faced a few issues that prevented me from using them conveniently, so I am returning them. First, the positives: - The sound quality is good (not outstanding but on par with competitors). - They are comfortable, though a bit tight – you can get a headache after using them for a couple of hours. - The mobile app has a pretty good design and is easy to use. So, in general, if not for the issues I describe below, this would be a really good product that I would like to continue using. Now, the negatives: - Bluetooth connectivity is not stable – sometimes the headphones disconnect from source devices (they can also randomly disconnect and reconnect). This happened to me several times a day, which has never occurred with other ANC headphones I have used over the last eight years. - Sometimes the headphones just turn off on their own (Automatic Power Off is disabled). - Latency – most of the time it is okay, and you will not really notice it, but occasionally it spikes to nearly 2 seconds, which makes the headphones basically unusable, especially for watching videos. It seems to fix itself by turning the headphones off and on again, but such a user experience is really inconvenient. - (The biggest issue) Pitch drift, which happened several times – at some point, the headphones start lowering the pitch of the audio (everything sounds a couple of steps lower, as if a pitch shifter effect is applied in real time). This also seems to fix after turning the headphones off and on (just reconnecting to the source device doesn't help), but I personally find this completely unacceptable. I did some research online before returning the headphones, hoping there might be ways to fix these issues, but unfortunately that's not the case. Other people complain about similar problems, and there is no workaround except turning them off and on or resetting them. It is quite sad, because as I mentioned, I would like to keep using them, but these issues are a clear deal-breaker for me. PS I believe the hardware is probably solid, but the buggy software/firmware makes the headphones perform very poorly (I was using the latest available version, 2.9.0).

Accidently ruined my soundcore headphones I bought at Walmart! I was very happy with the sound and noise cancellation! However I had seen all the great reviews on these Sony earphones so I decided it would be better to get these sonys instead of another pair of the soundcore.well the sound wasn't quite as good as the soundcore with these sonys!! Also the noise cancellation wasn't quite as good! I was amazed the sonys were supposed to be better but this wasn't the case! Also the sonys were giving me a case of nausea when wearing them for too long! For the price of the sonys it's not worth it.i returned them and got another pair of the soundcore headphones for $130 less!!!!
