I was repacing some Crusher Evo Headphoness that did not have Noise Cancellation. After reading a ton of reviews, I decided on these over Bose. I took them home, charged them up and paired them with my Samsung TV, which will be 90% of its usuage. They cancelled out the noise and sounded great! For about 10 minutes. Then they started skipping, then went into full "Warble" mode(Some describe it as "underwater". I screwed around with the equalizer and DSEE funtion, along with Stable Connection setting. I zeroed it down to turning the DSEE Extreme on and off along with the equalizer setting(Which it warns not to use with Equalizer setting or sound could be didtorted). Finally, with equalizer totally in Off position(Through App on Phone), i was able to make them work between togling DSEE Extreme on and off ever 6-13 minutes. From the best I can understand, It has something to do with the bluetooth codec Sony uses and refuses to add any others, like the one that works with most Samsung TVs. For some reason it switches from the one that does work, to the one that doesnt , after a few minutes. This is obviously not going to work; nevermind getting the full features I paid extra for and cannot use. I then went on the internet and this has been a known issue with these headsets since they were released 4 or 5 years ago, after the 3. Sony totally ignores it and wont do anything about it. Not only that, but I am reading the newly released 5's also have the same problem. Way to go Sony for the most popular TV brand in the world...

The sound quality is amazing, easily the best headphones ive had. ive even started to use them for gaming and ive had them for a couple of months now. The price may run some ppl away but if you have enough to spend. go with something quality like this.

The noise cancelation works great but it does leave me with a headache. I leave it off and it still is a great noise damper. They have great sound and the buttons are really easy to find and use. I also didn't have any issues connecting them to all my devices. They hold charge for a lone time, I am so glad to have them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had these headphones for a little over a week and I have to say that they are indeed the best headphones that I have ever owned. The sound quality on these headphones is great and the noise cancellation does a great job of reducing the outside noise. Another thing that I like about these headphones is that the battery seems to last forever which is pretty nice if you use them for work or you don't feel like plugging them in all the time. The one gripe that I have with these headphones though is how you change the volume or rewind or skip music. You see they have you swipe on the right side of the headphones like you would a tablet which makes raising the volume rather tedious because you have to swipe multiple times. I prefer having a button for these functions because its much easer to press a button than swiping multiple times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sony WH-1000XM4 Headset is amazing. I will start by saying this headset is very comfortable to wear. I dislike using earbuds and I don't like headsets that lay on my ears. These lay around the ear and create a seal around the ear. The weight of these on my head are very light. After a while, I do not realize I am wearing them. The quality feel of these are very good. There is nothing flimsy about them. This headset does that. When I powered them up and put them on, I immediately noticed the noise cancelling working. The room became quiet. I used to travel a lot for work and when on a plane would crave a noise cancelling headset. I no longer travel, but these have so many advantages for use on a plane. These are adaptive. So they will work the best for the environment you are in. The sound is incredible. I am getting up in years and I need a headset I can clearly hear the lyrics and music. There is an app that compliments this headset. There are equalizer settings within the app. I adjusted to the levels I prefer and the headset remembers the settings. The app is a must for this headset. I believe it will work without it, but the app gives much more control of the settings of the headset. Some of the notable features in the app are the equalizer, connect to two devices at the same time, button reassignment, headset updates. Yes, this app will update the headset software on the headset. There is an app for Android and iPhone. I set the app to allow to pair to two devices and paired to my Windows Laptop. The headset paired without issue. I can switch audio between the laptop and my Android phone without having to repair each time. There is a carry case with international style audio adapter for a plane. USB C Charging cable. And a audio cable to hard plug into the phone or other devices. Google Assistant and Alexa work with this device, but I do not use either, thus have not tested it. The instructions are done in pictures. It helps to have a little knowledge of how Bluetooth devices pair. And how these types of headsets operate. The instructions are easy to follow and I was up and running in a matter of a moment.

I bought the xm4 a few days after the release , I expected better quality than the xm3 but I was disappointed. The feature for surround sound vpt setting was removed and that was one of the best feature in my opinion. If they release an update in which they can be used again I would rate these headphones the best yet. Hopefully they’ll be an update soon. Design was also not as good compared to the xm3 it has more a matte finishing and not as comfortable feel as the previous generation. Overall I would have stuck with the xm3

They also are so comfortable perfect for travel because come with they case! The battery life is amazing up to 30 hours playing!

Sound is clear and comfortable. Noise canceling is great and the ability to recognize you are walking and allowing ambient sound to pass through is a great feature. Product would be excellent if I could get the touch controls to be responsive, often resort to one device controls because the touch controls are so spotty.

You can personalize these to you, what your doing, your ears, etc... The sound quality is the best. I hear all the little things that my old earbuds miss. They are extremely comfortable and I love that they can be used wireless or wired. That means I can use with my phone, my new mp3 player or my old Gen 4 Nano. I love that!!!
