[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome Sony WH-1000 x m4 wireless noise - canceling headphone. Excellent call quality with 5 built in microphones. The earcups are designed to swivel and fold neatly into the included carrying case. Also included you'll find the adapter plug and cable . Great for commuting on a train or walking . The battery last up to 30 HRS on a single charger . They're extremely comfortabl to wear even for long time periods.over all great headphone with great sound, battery life and comfort.

I have the NC700 and these -- the sound quality is by far more superior than the bose to my ears. The comfort is also really great. I do wish they allowed you to pair with more than 2 devices (phone + laptop is not enough, especially if you have a work laptop too! that is 3 devices!) . I also had trouble trying to pair these with my SONY TV. My laptop can pair easily, but these can't, may be an issue with my TV, vs. the headphones though. However, the most annoying thing about these headphones are the fact it doesn't have a quick button or feature to mute the mic when you are on a call. I was hoping to use the custom button or two finger double tap ...but nope. Maybe a software update would allow this? It is incredibly important feature for taking phone calls!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These headphones are very comfortable and light. The noise canceling feature is top notch. I mowed my lawn with these on and I could not hear my riding mower. I was definitely surprised on how well these don't let noise through. The over the ear design is very comfortable. There is an app you can download to help adjust settings. One setting that is pretty cool is when I start talking the noise cancellation feature turns off so I can hear myself and whoever else i am talking to. You can adjust settings to fit almost every need and personalize them to your needs. The sound quality is awesome and probably the best I have heard from a pair of headphones. These also came with a ver nice traveling/storage case. I would definitely recommend these for anyone in the market for a high quality pair of headphones. I am not disappointed in these headphones and glad I got them.

Firstly they look great, slim line, comfortable and fit perfectly, not big and bulky like some out there. They are adjustable but I haven’t needed to change them. They are easy to fold and fit into the compact case that comes with them. They are very easy to setup, on my laptop, all I had to do was pair them and all done. On my phone I downloaded the app and control everything from there. Switching between both devices is easy too. The sound quality is amazing! Perfect for me to work from home while the rest of the family is around. I love the speak to chat feature, with one word I can automatically pause my music to have a conversation. The other features I love are the adaptive sound control that senses what you are doing and adjusts the sound accordingly, the sensor which can detect if you are wearing the headphones and adjusts to help save the battery, the battery life is great at 30 hours. It is so easy to let in ambient sound, adjust volume and make calls just by tapping the panel Definitely the best headphone I have owned in a very long time!

As an ex-Bose NC700 owner, I can resoundingly say this is a significant enough of an upgrade in nearly all areas. The sound quality destroys the Bose. ANC is on-par but outstrips Bose in feature sets. Comfort dominates the NC700 bc it doesn’t pinch your head or ears, especially if you wear glasses or sunnies. One area it needs to improve on is the self-voice that’s heard from the headphones as it’s currently very muffled and unnatural. Bose did this right by having the option to tweak how much one’s own voice can be heard over a call.

The bluetooth transfer quality is also excellent. Prefer these to the in the ear headsets. Much better for your hearing. Padding is comfortable as well. Not too heavy.

As a former Club DJ and audiophile I found the sound quality to be excellent at this price point. Noise cancelling worked very well. Headphones are comfortable. My complaint is the touch sensor control, it does not work very well and I find myself hanging up calls when trying to simply adjust the volume. Please provide buttons on the next iteration of these.

As a diagnosed Autistic Person (Aspergers) I gave these headphones a 5 Star review because even though they have some faults I do think they serve their purpose. These headphones are great for basic use like travel and at home / at work use. I personally use them to drown out the noise from a very noisy daycare I live next door to, or if i've had a long day of Sensory Processing and I'm drained and can't cope with background noises or volume control of other people's voices any more. I definitely recommend them for people who are ASD or with Sensory Processing issues. I enjoy wearing them when i'm working too as they help me concentrate on my tasks without having my attention diverted by auditory distractions. The things that aren't the greatest about them - * I do not recommend them for exercise such as Running. They are very sensitive and even when i go outside I turn down all noise canceling sensors on the app, just to stay quiet at the lowest level. * The Speak to Chat function is cool, but can be annoying when you just clear your throat and it activates. The headphones are so sensitive that sometimes when I try to return back to Noise Canceling it switches off the function all together. * Volume adjustment is not the greatest either. Having to slide your finger up and down one little bit at a time makes the whole function extremely slow. The skip or go back swipe function is cool but again, it's so sensitive that if you swipe accidentally or a little off angle it feels that. * I also don't really like the material they are made of. Be sure to give them a wipe every day as the material easily gathers natural occurring oils form your skin and hair. * It has this cool all surrounding music function, but you can't get that unless you purchase a specific music app for it. Spotify doesn't support that sadly. * It's great that it can pair with 2 devices at a time, but sometimes that causes one device's volume to not work and I have to switch off the other device and start all over again with pairing. * For some reason it constantly switches on itunes every time i connect it to my computer. But as I said, I do love to wear them a lot and they help me out immensely, especially around the house, everyday tasks and with concentration. I hope that with future products these things will be adjusted, but for now we're so lucky to have such cool technology.

The charging lasts for so long so I can use it for hours!!! The case keeps my headphones so safe and organized… it’s great!! These have the best sound.. very comfortable to wear for long periods of time and are the highest quality I have seen!!

This is my third Sony high res headset I own. I bought last week mainly because of 2 new features I didn't have on WH-1000XM3. I really lowed WH-1000XM3s because excellent sound quality. On XM3 NC worked fine in the office, but sometimes had issues outside withe repeated sounds, let's see how XM4s will perform.. I use the headphones in the office and support for 2 devices is finally supported, but NOTE there is something specs and advertisements don't say. If you enable this feature the LDAC is gone and it will switch headphones to AAC 44khz/16bit only. So my question to Sony is if it would be possible to keep for example LDAC (2 channels) on phone and AAC for laptop with some future firmware update? I'm switching between modes often to enjoy TIDAL music in better quality, but another issue is that headphones don't reconnect to second device automatically. So you need to enable second device support in the menu and go to different menu to reactivate second device. Another idea to Sony: Make this as an option to button and reconnect to second last used device automatically. Second new feature I really like is new sensor which will stop music when you take headphones off. I experienced some small issue today. Not sure if it was the trigger, but I walked with phones off my ears and heard email notification coming to headphones an then music started playing. I just moved them a bit and music stopped again. I was hopping for redesigned touch control which is quite a pain. Maybe next time? I have a feeling that NC is better even passive when headset is off. Comfortable to wear even outside on the street. Didn't experience any troubles like on previous model, but maybe I didn't met similar conditions yet. With XM3 the issue was for example in train when window was open and columns along the trail were creating specific noise. The headphones generated even louder noise and the only solution was turn this feature off. There are new mics inside which might hopefully prevent this situation. So some improvements are still needed, but overall the sound quality is still outstanding and I'm still ranking 5 stars.
