The Sony wireless noise canceling headphones caught my attention because of the features. Quick charging just 10 minutes of charging gives 5 hours of playback time. On a full charge 30 to 38 hours of playback time. Hands free calling, and voice assistants features all easy to use. Comes with headphone cable, Plug in adaptor and USB type C cable. The sound is so clear giving a high quality performing audio above others I have used. Noise canceling works for me while listening even with others around me or even the television on I can concentrate on what I am listening too without disruptions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally use earbuds because most of the headsets I have tried don't fit on my larger head. This headset not only fits great the sound quality is amazing with the noise canceling feature i couldn't hear any surrounding noise.

I returned my WH-1000XM3 because the WH-1000XM4 came out right as I bought the previous. I only got to use my WH-1000XM3 for 1 week, but I LOVED them! They were so quiet no matter where I studied and I was so excited to get "even better" headphones, have the "best noise canceling out there", and even about being able to connect to multiple devices. As a medical student I have to do this often. I was highly disappointed to find out recently, while the condo next to me started doing a little bit of updating and kids played at the pool 4 flights below me, I could hear so clearly that it was like I had no headphones on at all, even with the highest level of noise-canceling setting on. It was too late for me to return or exchange these headphones or I would!!! I have done every setting adjustment including optimizing the headphones to "better noise canceling", but even in doing so I can clearly hear a friend across the room speak quietly with a lecture video volume on loud. Since a lot of our classes have to be at home right now and the vast amount of studying done not in a classroom, I am highly disappointed in this pair. I am not sure if it is just my pair, but even at a quite coffee shop with these headphones on I can hear every word of any conversation across the shop (even with social distancing). I hope there is an update that fixes this. If I was not currently paying medical school tuition I would go back and buy the previous pair again, the WH-1000XM3, and throw these out!!! Also, the functionality with Alexa never seems to work despite working on it for weeks. My boyfriends WH-1000XM2 are significantly better despite being two generations back and being 3 years old. Please let me know if there is an update to better this because I normally love Sony and am desperate to better the noise canceling function, as right now it is non-existent for my pair. I am hoping this is just a flaw of the one that was sent to me and not how all the new generation functions, because if this is how ALL of the new generations of WH-1000XM4 functions, because if so this was a MASSIVE STEP BACKWARDS for Sony!!

Before I bought these I looked at all of the reviews and ratings of these as well as the Bose QC headphones. All of the reviews stated that these were the better buy. Ive had them now for several months and I am now noticing that there is very low static in the left ear, which is aggravating. It happens when there is or is not music playing. Also when ever I receive a call from someone, they can never hear me. They say im muffled or like im a long way away from my phone? So I have to take them off when ever I need to make a phone call, so whats the purpose?

I upgraded from wired Bose QC25 headphones. Thus far I have found the microphones to be not quite as good as Bose, but the audio quality is exceptional. My main issue right now is that the dual bluetooth is causing problems. For example, I am often on a video conference and then I get a phone call. The headphone switches to the call before I even answer it. And then it completely drops the bluetooth on my computer. I have to power the headphones off and then back on to rejoin my conference. This needs to be fixed. So far the ambient control and speed to chat are more distracting than helpful so I turned them off. Pausing when I take off the headphones is nice, as are the touch controls on the headphones. My only other complaint is that the headband pushed down a bit too hard on my bald head. The Bose were more comfortable because of that.

I love the softness of the material on my ears and even the touch of them. I have the black ones with some gold hints. It definitely looks premium and sound is amazing. I love the noise canceling feature and how easy it is to adjust it in the app. The sound is second to none for sure. I love how to control the sound, pause, and going back and forth with music. I can't wait to use these on my next plane ride

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Sony Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones are amazing. I find that the included USB cable is too short for charging with a desktop computer so I used my own USB Type-C cable and adapter which worked out perfectly. While they are charging there is a red indicator light which goes out once they are fully charged. The 30+ hour battery life is more then sufficient. I love that you can charge them for about 10 minutes and get 5 hours of usage. The touch sensor controls are easy to use. These are so comfortable to wear, they are lightweight and where they cup over your ears is very soft. You can easily adjust them for the size and shape of your head and they stay put. They work great for when I want to listen to music while in the same room with someone who is watching television because the noise cancelling is amazing, I can honestly say I can not hear the television at all, not can I hear anyone in the same room speaking.. I have used them with my computer, tablet and T.V. and my husband has used them with his phone and we both are amazed at the sound quality. I love the hard shell case to protect them when not in use or when you want to take them with you when you leave the house, the cords have their own little compartment as well as the headphones. I absolutely love that they have Alexa built in. I highly recommend these headphones.

The slick black look is soft, comfortable for going around your head and on your ears. With a 30 hour battery life and only 10 minutes charge time for 5 hours, you can't go wrong. Touch sensor controls allow you to easily control your volume, answer calls and activate your voice assistant. Great quality and speak to chat volume works great! A great design for comfort for long time use. I highly reccomend!

This is my third Sony high res headset I own. I bought last week mainly because of 2 new features I didn't have on WH-1000XM3. I really lowed WH-1000XM3s because excellent sound quality. On XM3 NC worked fine in the office, but sometimes had issues outside withe repeated sounds, let's see how XM4s will perform.. I use the headphones in the office and support for 2 devices is finally supported, but NOTE there is something specs and advertisements don't say. If you enable this feature the LDAC is gone and it will switch headphones to AAC 44khz/16bit only. So my question to Sony is if it would be possible to keep for example LDAC (2 channels) on phone and AAC for laptop with some future firmware update? I'm switching between modes often to enjoy TIDAL music in better quality, but another issue is that headphones don't reconnect to second device automatically. So you need to enable second device support in the menu and go to different menu to reactivate second device. Another idea to Sony: Make this as an option to button and reconnect to second last used device automatically. Second new feature I really like is new sensor which will stop music when you take headphones off. I experienced some small issue today. Not sure if it was the trigger, but I walked with phones off my ears and heard email notification coming to headphones an then music started playing. I just moved them a bit and music stopped again. I was hopping for redesigned touch control which is quite a pain. Maybe next time? I have a feeling that NC is better even passive when headset is off. Comfortable to wear even outside on the street. Didn't experience any troubles like on previous model, but maybe I didn't met similar conditions yet. With XM3 the issue was for example in train when window was open and columns along the trail were creating specific noise. The headphones generated even louder noise and the only solution was turn this feature off. There are new mics inside which might hopefully prevent this situation. So some improvements are still needed, but overall the sound quality is still outstanding and I'm still ranking 5 stars.

The sound has a remarkable crisp sound compared to anything on the wireless market. Along with the sound, the sound control and noise control, this make these headphones groundbreaking. The noise-canceling works phenomenally as vacuuming and other background noises can not be heard at all. This changes the market for noise-canceling headphones. They are easily adjustable making them fit great comfortably. Paired with the easy action of raising the volume and switching songs, the headphones make them easily accessible. The combination of sound, fast charging, accessibility, and performance makes the WH-10000xM4 one of the best noise-canceling headphones today. Overall, this is excellent headphone on the market.
