These headphones have clarity beyond compare, they are clear and concise with no glitches or lag time. The noise canceling is superior to any I have tried before. They are lightweight and adjust to fit snugly but comfortably. The case is sturdy so the headphones won't get scratched or damaged. They hook up to my devices simply with no hassle at all. The hands free calling feature makes it so easy to connect with someone without stopping in middle of what I'm doing, and the voice assist is serving to none. I would highly recommend these headphones to anyone who expects high quality and fantastic performance!

Very important to know I wear glasses and it does not hurt or press down on my ears with my glasses on that is a plus. Very clear sound for music , movies or whatever you my need this for. It is also very light weight and comfortable. With just a flick of a finger you can skip or raise the volume. Nothing I mean nothing comes close to these headphones a must have for everyone. This product gets a perfect 10 out of 10 stars for a great product. Thank you Sony for another Great product !!!

I upgraded from wired Bose QC25 headphones. Thus far I have found the microphones to be not quite as good as Bose, but the audio quality is exceptional. My main issue right now is that the dual bluetooth is causing problems. For example, I am often on a video conference and then I get a phone call. The headphone switches to the call before I even answer it. And then it completely drops the bluetooth on my computer. I have to power the headphones off and then back on to rejoin my conference. This needs to be fixed. So far the ambient control and speed to chat are more distracting than helpful so I turned them off. Pausing when I take off the headphones is nice, as are the touch controls on the headphones. My only other complaint is that the headband pushed down a bit too hard on my bald head. The Bose were more comfortable because of that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hit the jackpot when getting these headphones because I do a lot of work from my computer and need to concentrate and be focused. With the WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones, I can hear crystal clear and have total noise cancellation from the kids or whatever is going on at home. First, let me say that these are super comfortable and not heavy on my ears. I sometimes have to wear them for hours with no discomfort at all. Secondly, pairing is easy and there is a multi-pairing feature so you can take calls, without having to remove your headphones and can switch between your music on one device and calls on another with the touch sensor. You can also skip tracks, adjust the volume control, and activate your voice assistant with the touch control. I like that your music pauses when you remove the headphones and will start back where you were when you put them back on. There is a speak to chat that automatically adjusts volume when making calls so your calls are very clear. The battery life is excellent and will give you up to 30 hours when fully charged. Lastly, the microphones (5) pick up every word with precise clarity. The sound quality is unbelievable! I can honestly say I love my Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have airbuds that I use for convenience, but of course the quality of sound is still affected by surrounding noise. I use them mostly to listen to podcasts or audio books while I am working around my house and to answer phone calls. I am amazed at the difference these noise-cancelling headphones make. I can vacuum, be running the dishwasher or cooking with the exhaust fan on and I can still hear very clearly what is being broadcast. I do have a slight hearing loss so these headphones have improved my ability to hear every word much more than just the earbuds. The other thing that I appreciate about these is their range. While I am working I can go out to my garage and grab something, go upstairs, move around from room to room and not have a disconnection with my phone. Such an improvement over the earbuds. I have not had a chance to use them on an airplane, but I am sure that I will not be dissappointed! They were extremely easy to set up the connection to my phone another,plus for these headphones.

I got these about a week ago, and they come in a hard formed travel case that holds the charging cord and airplane adapter inside. The set up was super easy. Download the app, connect the Bluetooth, and power on. Placed them on my head. Super comfortable and lightweight. Then you notice the dead silence. What?!? Noise canceling is right. Just shuts out the world around you. So then I used the free trial code for the 360 music. Got that set up. Went back to the headphones app to analyze my ears for the perfect sound quality. Again, easy. Just took a photo of each ear and it somehow adjusts the sound to my ear shape/ size. Pretty cool. Go back to the 360 music app I downloaded and picked some music. I’ve got to say, these are super impressive headphones. The sound is perfection. It just envelopes your head in all around sound. The sound level, pause/play, skip, & go back are all controlled by either sliding your finger on the right ear piece or tapping it. So technologically cool. There’s mics built into both ear piece, and there’s a feature you can turn on that will pause the music automatically when you speak. Music also pauses when you take them off of your head, and it resumes as soon as you put them back on. There’s a ‘custom’ button on the left ear piece that you can set up. I have mine set to Alexa. So I have Alexa at a push of a button. You can take calls through them to. I did have my friend put them in for me to see if I could hear what he was listening to, and totally quiet from the outside. So awesome. I’ve totally been converted to a headphone user. Completely in love with these. A must have for any music lover.

I love the softness of the material on my ears and even the touch of them. I have the black ones with some gold hints. It definitely looks premium and sound is amazing. I love the noise canceling feature and how easy it is to adjust it in the app. The sound is second to none for sure. I love how to control the sound, pause, and going back and forth with music. I can't wait to use these on my next plane ride

When putting on these headphones all you can hear is what you have playing on the headphones. I love how they are comfortable and fit great. You can have two different devices hooked up at the same time which is perfect for answering phone calls and then going back to listening to your music. There is so many options for these headphones and all of them work great. The Sound on these will blow you away and I definitely would recommend buying these for yourself or as a gift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I've owned my fair share of Bluetooth headphones, none of them have had ANC and, honestly, I wasn't sure if I really needed a noise cancelling feature at all in my headphones. I most often listen to music while at home where it's relatively quiet, anyway. But I was excited anyway to finally try out the noise cancelling capabilities of these Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, and I couldn't be more impressed. Even when I'm just in my bedroom listening to music, these headphones dull the sound of my noisy air purifier and bring the music into crystal-clear focus. These are great sounding headphones, but it's the ANC and attention to design and detail that really make for an impressive listening experience. With other Bluetooth headphones I've owned, even the ones that had good sound quality, I've always felt like I need to turn up my music really loud in order to properly "feel" it, which was probably terrible for my hearing health. But even at lower volumes, these Sony headphones sound clear and vibrant. The 360 Reality audio capability is really awesome as well. I set it up with my Tidal HiFi subscription and played one of my favorite albums I've heard a hundred times, yet I swear I was hearing details and depth in the music that I had never heard before. And what's even better is that these headphones have all these great features while keeping them super easy to use and super comfortable to wear. I usually wear glasses, and typically glasses plus headphones equals massive headache after more than a few minutes of use, but these Sony headphones put no pressure on my glasses. The headband doesn't dig into the top of my head either, like other headphones often do on me. This level of comfort, in combination with long battery life, means that I can use these for many hours with zero worries, just pure focus on the music. What more could you want?

Pros: - Sound is more refined - Bluetooth 5 gives me the 8-12’ of extra distance from devices that I needed. - Connecting to the TV and iPhone at the same time is very useful. Whichever device is sending audio gets auto-selected. Better auto-connection to devices when first turned on. - Noise Cancelling is ~20-30% better with a side to side comparison. - Can be listening to TV and get a phone call from 2nd device. CONS: - Battery seems to fade faster (~10-15% faster than XM3) but probably due to the 2 added mics, extra bluetooth signal, bluetooth strength, and deeper, fuller sound quality. - Even with the new superior Bluetooth 5, some TVs (ex. 2015 Samsung LED) have continual audio glitches. (Not the headphones fault but rather a Samsung problem that may occur on other TVs as well). Love the updated XM4s and can’t wait to see the XM5s improve on the battery. Perhaps offer a second upgrade padding for we people with big heads and big ears.
