[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are awesome. First off they very comfortable, light weight and soft, they basically feel like the float over your ears. Sound is amazing, very warm and solid sounding. I tested these out and I couldn't even hear my son yelling for me in the other room. Such a cool feature the sound will pause when you take the head phones off! Also nice they auto turn off if you leave them off your head for awhile so the battery wont drain down. Super thrilled with these and better than I imagined.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I love about these headphones is they are a great size, not super bulky. They are also extremely comfortable to wear.. They have a cushioned band and the earpieces swivel meaning the instantly self adjust to your head shape instead of having a one size fits all, stiff fit. These have very soft earpads, don't squish my ears and are so light weight, I forget I'm wearing them! These headphones were very easy to connect via the Sony headphones connect app, and the dashboard for controlling them is remarkably easy to navigate. There are so many in app options including an equalizer, the option of mapping your ears for better sound delivery and even adjusts sound quality to your actions like sitting or walking. The noise canceling ability of the Sony 1000XM4s is nothing short of perfection. I cannot hear people taking to me that are literally standing a mere 2 feet away. Sound quality is absolutely remarkable! The bass is nice, you can hear every instrument and voices are in the forefront, they sound like your at a live concert! I like that they pause your music when the headphones are removed! The sound quality in regards to calls is exquisite, crystal clear with no static or drop out; you couldn't ask for anything better! These last 30 hours on one single charge which is perfect for long shifts at work and for me in general since ai tend to forget to charge things. In addition to that, these are fast charging: it takes about 10 or 15 minutes to get around 5 more hours of battery! These have everything I would ask for if I designed my own pair of headphones; I am so impressed! If you are even considering purchasing these, don't waste another second and do it!

Jumped up from a pair of Bose QC15's owned for many a year. Tried out the two newest Bose models as well as the XM3. Decided to wait on the XM4 release. My expectations for sound quality in any pair of cans with noise cancellation not too high, but using the EQ in the app I have it where it is acceptable, and actually quite good. Comfort is acceptable which is all one can expect (ears still get warm with extended use). Features are really nice. Overall I'm glad I waited (months) and purchased the XM4.

I bought this last week on a recommendation from a friend. First, I made the mistake of selling my beats to get these (as an upgrade) my previous headphones had a better noise cancelling functionality than these. I can hear the air conditioning from the vent in my office even with the noise cancelling feature turned on. My husband was also disappointed because they are not supported with the PS4 (although there are claims they work with the PS5) and although they connected seamlessly to his PC while gaming, he had a lag with his microphone because it seems that this headset has two separate drivers (one for the audio, and the other for the mic input). I will be returning his headset since I paid too much for him not to be able to use them for all purposes. And I'm debating whether or not to return mine...the noise cancelling feature was not as good as my previous headset.

The sound is incredible and these are truly noise canceling. They fit very nice and comfortably. I love the features of volume control and skip just by touching the outside of the headphones.

Pros: Best ANC, usage comfort, features, battery - comparing to some mid level competitors like Sennheiser 4.5BT - there is no comparison at all honestly in Sonys favor. Cons: There is only one really. Phone calls in quiet environment are good but when there is quite noisy Sony doesn't cope well. Mics harvest too much ambient noise and people on the other side complaints very often. If Sony can fix this with firmware and isolate Your voice like Bose 700 can, it will be great! Unknown: will it be compatible with PS5...

I had been waiting for these headphones for a long time to upgrade my Bose QC25s and purchased them on the day they became available. I'll break my review up into sections: Fit/Comfort: The first thing I noticed when I tried these on was my ears touched the fabric that covers the audio driver. This never happened with my Bose, but I figured maybe I could get used to it (although I've had these for 3 weeks and this still bothers me). Ideally I think the foam should be thicker to prevent this. I also noticed these headphones didn't seem very comfortable after about 30-45 minutes, which isn't very long for me. Maybe I have an odd-shaped head based on other reviews I read, but I was disappointed by this especially considering I never had this problem with my Bose headphones. The headphones also get very warm, which can probably be attributed to the seal around my ears for noise cancelling. I can't really fault the headphones here as noise cancelling is a priority, but this is just an observation. Sound: The sound is really good. I still don't think it competes to headphones that don't have ANC but I don't really think that's possible. Overall I was happy with the sound. The noise cancelling is phenomenal, and these headphones do a great job of cancelling even mid-frequency rather than just low frequencies. Features: I'm not really sure if something is wrong with my pair, but the switching between bluetooth devices is very buggy. I still have to manually disconnect and connect my devices fairly often which is disappointing as that's probably the biggest feature of these headphones versus the X3. I've also had devices that are connected and playing but no audio comes through these headphones (and I have confirmed only 1 connected device was playing audio at a time). The touch controls are pretty nice, I do wish the custom button could be used for the conversation mode but that's a minor gripe. The swiping controls work great and I love the feature of putting my hand on my ear cup to hear my surroundings. Overall: I really can't justify the price of these headphones for the poor fit (which may just be a personal problem) and the buggy tech such as the multi-device bluetooth support (which is the biggest upgrade from the X3 in my opinion). At this price I would expect a nearly flawless device. I really wanted to love these, but unfortunately I think I'll be returning them and trying out some other pairs. I really hope I got a bad pair which I think is a possibility based on other reviews I've read, and I think these headphones are definitely worth a try from a store that allows returns.

The sound is absolutely amazing and pulls you into it. When using these headphones I feel like I am sitting right there at the concerts I listen too. The battery life on these are so long! Better than I could ever imagine! I love these so much I find myself using it more and more everyday.

These are truly noise canceling and can actually listen to podcasts. He doesn’t have to turn the headphones all the way up to hear like on normal headphones. The battery life is outstanding. He’s been using them on and off for a week and hasn’t recharged them yet. I’m so happy with them. They are lightweight and stay on his head well. They come with a great case to keep them from getting smashed or bent in the work truck. I am beyond ecstatic that he found something that truly works. they actually muffle out sound so much that you can hear yourself breathing with the different options. It’s crazy. Sony has done it again with a perfect product.
