Excellent sound quality, poor construction

After 3 years, the microphone no longer works during calls and I frequently have to fix a high pitched ringing issue. I have followed all fix solutions provided by sony and nothing is a permanent fix. For the price point, the product is not worth it.

It's alright

I bought these headphones 2 months ago. They are great for cancelling noise. When I put them on, I barely hear anything. The only problem is that I always instantly get a headache when I put them on. That's why, even though I bought them 2 months ago, I barely wore them. I think it is linked to the noise cancelling because when I put them on, I hear a white noise.

Will not play CD's with noise cancel function.

I do not use Bluetooth and I bought this to use with my portable CD player, HOWEVER... The unit must be turned OFF in order to play my CDs. Thus I can not use the NOISE Cancelling feature AT ALL. Is there some way around this problem, if not , i will likely return the unit to the store.

In response to your inquiry, you absolutely can use the noise canceling feature while connected to your portable CD player with the headphone cable! The key is to ensure the unit is powered ON when you're using it with your portable CD player. When the headphones are turned on, even if you're connected with the cable and not using Bluetooth, the noise cancelling technology is active. If the headphones are turned OFF, they'll still pass audio through the cable, but you won't experience the active noise cancelling or the optimal sound quality the WH-1000XM4 is known for. Good sound poor craftsmanship

So my husband loves these headphones for the noise cancellation and the sound quality, unfortunately we’ve had issues with these lasting…. First pair we had to send in on warranty because the headband part came detached from the ear piece (which seems like a common issue after I started looking into it) now the replacement pair won’t charge after 14 months of use…. For this price I’d expect they last for YEARS
