The communication between the devices will be poor if there is an obstruction between the unit and the connected device. Multiple Wi-Fi devices, microwave ovens, cordless phones, or devices that transmit 2.4 GHz band frequency radio waves can cause the sound to cut out. To improve transmission, set the headphones to prioritize on stable connection and see if it resolves the problem.<br /><br />1. Launch the Sony | Headphones Connect app.<br />2. Set the Sound quality mode to Priority on stable connection.<br /><br />If the problem continues on the WH-1000XM4 headphones, please make sure that your headphones are running on the latest firmware version. Noise-canceling technology can't completely isolate sound due to the air trapped between your audio device and the eardrum. The noise canceling effect may not be pronounced in a tranquil environment, or some sounds may be heard. If there is little ambient noise, it is advisable not to switch on the NC function, as it needs ambient input to function optimally. Battery failed to charge after a few months of use. Sony replaced it under warranty, but the replacement also failed to charge after 4 months of use. When it was charged and working, it was a great headset.
