Just received it , assembly was easy, read the book completely to make sure I understand everything about it, put oil and gas, pull a few times, knowing first start take a few pulls to get gas to the carb. Started great. So far it runs great, haven't had chance to really use it yet but I will.

It worked right out of the box. Hopefully it'll work when the power's out. The wheel kit was a little difficult because I had to put a thread chaser where the front feet went because the threads were messed up and I could not hand start the screws. Fortunately I'm very mechanically inclined and have lots of tools so it was not a problem for me at all. I really like the short little handle that I pull it around with because I have to walk like a caveman so it does not backflip on me. Although the product arrived looking as if it had been opened and a screw was just sitting on the top, underneath the product looked clean and unused. The oil funnel extender could be a little longer to avoid spills, but once you manage to get the wheels on, it is easy to move, start, and use.

I am certainly no mechanic and at age 65 I was not looking forward to putting things together. I was able to quickly put the necessary parts on and start it up. I have the electric start and it started on the second attempt. Much quieter than that old unit I retired. Very Pleased

I have not needed to use this generator yet.I purchased this for the "just in case" when the power goes out. I bought this one because it looked like it had a lot good features and the cost was good. I wanted to get one with electric start but because of the additional weight bought the lighter model which was still very heavy to move while transporting in the box.

I bought this generator two months ago to prepare for the coming winter. As this year's first big winter storm is coming to our area, I finally managed to install a transfer switch and set up the generator as per the manual. The setup appeared to be easy and straightforward. I ran the machine for 10 min or so and it worked smoothly without any issue. Now I can finally give myself a piece of mind before the storm coming.

Arrived with broken parts. The air filter housing was damaged preventing it from closing. The frame was dented and had paint chipped off in several places. The shipping box was intact, undamaged, and in good condition. The damage was obviously done outside the container.

Bought this generator i case of emergency due to the craziness and possible bad weather. Love the portability. Not too hard to move. My favorite feature is the electric start. Not too keen on pull starts, though glad it's there as a back up. Just unboxed it and assembly was very easy. First start was 20 min after I opened the box. The startup was real fast. No dents dings or scratches anywhere as I did read in previous reviews. I would definitely recommend this generator. And another good thing, I like the gas gauge too

I just bought this generator. After looking for months I settled on the Westinghouse W5300 SC. The power is great, and it is lightweight for a generator. It will serve its purpose. Easy to set up. Fast shipping. No damage to the generator at all. I will start it up later this week.

Just unpacked and assembled the unit per clear instructions. Quite simple. added oil, and a little gas and it started, no problem. The only negative was a little damage to the generator end cap/vent. See photo. Since the box was not damaged, I assume it was damaged at the factory. I does not hinder the operation of the unit. It's a keeper. I would purchase this product again.
