The generator came nicely packed, was easy to put the wheels on, and, once everything was set, it fired right up. I have faith in Westinghouse.

(One minor problem as the support bolt holes were not lined up exactly, so they took longer than needed to assemble, but it eventually went together ok. ) They give you the oil (in the correct size bottle with a handy pouring hose), tools and good directions. Started and ran great, and tested it with multiple electrical devices at once. Plenty of voltage for the money! Good deal!

After installing the feet and wheels, adding oil and gas, and connecting the battery, it started on the first attempt. After some electrical work on my home was completed, this generator powered my entire home. This will be helpful for us since we live in a rural community with lots of trees. The last storm we had, our power was off for almost a whole day. We lost most of the food in our refrigerator. This generator will pay for itself if we have several outages. The directions are very well written and helpful.

Instructions are easy to understand, although some of the instructions assume that you know something about the workings of an internal combustion engine, because they tell you how to break it down to maintenance the engine. That's a little scary.

I also opted for the electric start as I'm getting old. This generator has a solidly built frame and a nice one piece handle instead of two "stick" handles- easier to move. It was very easy to put together, probably not more then 20 minutes. Note that the battery comes disconnected with a simple plug that is tucked under the front panel. No need to monkey with the battery connections themselves. It starts immediately, is fairly quiet, and has several power plugs including the necessary 240volt that my house transfer switch utilizes so it was immediately plug and play. I did find the funnel they provided for adding the included oil a bit frustrating as it only allowed you to pour the oil at what seemed to be an unnecessarily slow rate. But that is a very minor thing and I'm nitpicking. After set up was complete, it started right up and ran like a top.

Oil and all tools were supplied. After filling with fuel, and connecting the battery, I pressed the start button and the system hummed to a quick start. This generator is truly quieter than competitors' generators of same capacity. I am recommending it to all my friends. With more inclement weather and unpredictable power outages, my family is prepared to weather the storm with our Westinghouse WGen5300sc.

I expected it to be louder than it was, but pleasantly surprised it was less-than obnoxious. Definitely recommend buying the L14 cord in order to get the full 40A worth of power @120V into your house. My only negative is the 120/240V selector switch is one-way - can only use the L14 plug at 240V, and only use the other plugs at 120V (thought they would all be available - oh well). I had no trouble getting it started (test run before a coming ice storm). Hasn't been through a long-term run yet, but anticipate it performing well. Satisfied so far.

Turned on the gas set chock went to connect battery, there was gas running from the carburetor. Did not try to start it. So today went out tapped the carburetor, turned on the gas again this time no gas linking, connected battery, fired right up no problems runs great.

Everything is included to get the generator assembled and running. Product quality is fantastic and the features are outstanding. Electric start is wonderful. Meter and fuel gauge are easy to read. I installed a transfer switch and purchased a 100' 30 Amp cord to run frig, gas stove freezer, furnace, Internet, and one room with computers etc. Overall much better quality, fit and finish than my previous generator. Highly recommend the WGen line of generators!

This generator started right up on the pull and ran like a champ for an hour until I shut it off. Even with a full tank of gas, it is extremely easy to move around due to the oversized folding handle and low profile. I am very pleased.
