I bought this to replace my older Shark. This is the worst vacuum I have ever used. I would have to go over the same area a minimum of 3 times and it still did not pick up everything. I don't know why it is marketed as a pet vacuum, I have 1 domestic short hair cat and this vacuum could not handle the small amount of hair my cat leaves behind. There is something different about the quality of this new Shark compared to my older one. I would like to give praise to the Walmart Customer Service at my store, zero hassle returning it.

Save your money. Do not buy this vacuum. We have a large dog who sheds. A vacuum billed as a Pet vacuum should be great, right? Not this one. From the very first use, it clogs and the main roller stops spinning. The clog is impossible to clear because it's at the ends of the roller, and Shark will not allow you to access this part of the machine. Even if you buy the specialty screwdriver head to remove the special screws they use to prevent your access. Because it still does not open up the roller. Not being able to remove and clean a vacuum roller is really poor on the part of Shark. I should have returned it immediately.

We have purchased and owned Shark Vacuum Cleaners for several years. Always great quality, reliable, solidly built. In short, just a great line of products until................... This unit just did not meet the grade. We purchased this unit yeasterday and compared it one to one with our now "soon" to be replaced Shark Rotator Professional. In a head to head matchup, the old vacuum outperformed the new one, hands down. Suction in the new unit is good, but actual performace was lackluster. Returning the unti today to continue our search for an adequate Shark replacement.

Bought a Shark becuase my co-worker raves about his. I'm very dissappointed in this vacuum. Does not work on Carpet at all. I tried 3-4 times over the course of a month just making sure I had the settings (like suction max and carpet selected) correct. Like another unsatisfied reviewer, it should NOT be marketed as a pet vacuum, and it definitely should not cost as much as it does. I should have just spent the extra money to buy another Dyson. PRO: Works fine on thin rugs/bare floors. I do wish it would auto assume floor type without having to press a manual switch. PRO: I do like the handle/rod better than my Dyson. PRO: It's akward to move around, but so was my Dyson at first. PRO: Dust cup is large CON: Carpet suction sucks. Just don't buy this vacuum if you have carpet. You will NOT be happy. Doesn't even seem like it works. My dust cup is near empty after a running over my carpeted ares (1 week in between with multiple shedding pets). I just vacuumed. I can visibly see hair, dirt, etc still on my thicker rug that I went over at least three times. CON: Attachment placement/holder seems odd. My attachments keeps falling off as I turn CON: the head is thicker than my Dyson, unable to get under the edges of various things, like my bookcase. This is a CON for me, but others may not care. It will require me to use my broom prior to the vacuum. CON: Cord is just slightly too short. Needs to be like another 6-12 inches longer. CON: It isn't smart enough to roll over it's own power cord, tries to suck it up. My cheap Bissell that is a vacuum/mop combo does better than this product.

THIS IS MY 4TH SHARK , I PURCHASED THIS ONE BECAUSE I was fed up with the previous one falling over on me . I mean every time I vacuumed with canister attached or not. The expandable HOSE that is attached to the handle and the vacuum is tooooo short. So I saw this one at Sam's and decided to give it a try, I have 2 Australian Shepherds and shedding season was soon upon us, I purchased it in March 2024. THIS ONE HAD THE SAME DANG CHEAP MADE HOSE THAT WHEN USING ANY ATTACHMENT IT WOULD PULL THE VACUUM OVER, USUALLY ON MY LEG OR FOOT, I did not return it because of the attachment for upholstery, it got the dog hairs off the velour like material of my couch and love seat . If you've had or have an Aussie you know about their shedding. PLUS I love sharks suction. Power. So yesterday I was vacuuming a chair with the upholstery attachment and it quit, vacuum still sucking but it wouldn't spin. SO , I JUST DECIDED TO VACUUM THE REST OF THE ROOM , THE SWITCH WAS ON CARPET , IT VACUUMED ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND THE ROLLER STOPPED WORKING. THE LIGHT THAT IS USUALLY GREEN WAS NOT ON AND NEITHER HAD IT TURNED RED! ( MEANS ITS CLOGGED ETC.) CLEANED BOTH ROLLERS, EMPTIED BIN, SHOOK OUT BOTH FILTERS, CHECKED ALL HOSES. NADA! BUT IT STILL HAS GREAT SUCTION, JUST WONT VACUUM MY CARPET. I TRIED TO FIND SOME TROUBLE SHOOTING ON THE Shark website, put in the model number LA 555, get back can not find that model #!!! WHAT? Your the company that made the darn thing. Put the other # in, nothing! I am at my last straw, I've had it a little over 3 months. ALSO, Why would a vacuum company make an electrical cord that if you just accidentally vacuum over it it shreds the core to the wires! Cheap cord. Its inevitable that sonetime over the years you will accidentally run over the electrical cord. I've never had this happen on my other 3 sharks. Now, it's 100○ outside and you can guess my Aussies dropping hair massively and I don't have Any vacuum. Very unhappy!

This sweeper was a decent price and we have purchased Shark sweepers in the past. It just seems made not as well. It is light and often tops over while sweeping. The other day it topped into my wall and chipped paint off. The cord is long but almost too long. It often gets in the way or run i er as I am sweeping. When emptying the container it leaves dust on the floor and the pad is dusty when the container is removed. Overall i would recommend a different sweeper.

Comparing to my Dyson which is over 15 the shark is lighter, easier to maneuver , love the light, and using the part that separates ! What I don’t like or I’m having difficulty adjusting is the cord always seems to get in my way. But overall I’m pleased

This vacuum has great suction and the upright mode glides so easily. I separated it to use it as a canister and the canister kept flopping around because the hose is short. If you use it in this mode you can’t set it down—you’ll need to carry it. I’m also not thrilled with the cord storage. It’s too low to the ground.

Unlike my previous Shark vaccum, this one is cheaply made. When putting it together, I could feel the flimsiness in the handle. I don't like the fact that you have to reach down to flip a switch to go from bare floor to carpet. I don't like the fact that you can't change the height of the head. My old shark you could and I could vaccum my rug but now I can't. The suction seems good. I ran over the cord even though I was being cautious, and it's way too short. It makes weird noises. I'm going to take it back.

I bought this as a second vacuum, and it is exactly what I needed. The vacuum is easy to assemble and the add ons are even better than my last Shark vacuum as it includes a car clean attachment. I love how versatile the floor options are - I am able to go from carpet to medium shag area rug to hardwood floor very easily without it "locking out" like my last Shark does. We have 4 cats and 3 litter boxes, so this is a great help in keeping control of tracked litter. Also, being able to lift the canister off and add the brush to do the stairs makes quick work of vacuuming those. I do like the scent boost - although I think I smell it more while I am vacuuming then after the fact. I don't know if I would bother to replace that after it is gone. And while the overall suction is good, I do feel like it is a bit less than my last Shark (also purchased at a club store). Overall, very pleased and would recommend, but I am taking a star off by comparison to my original Shark.
