I've traded all my Dyson vacuums (4, i.e. handheld, stick etc) for Shark vacuums. This model picks up better, is much lighter and has power pull when going forward. Shark vacuums are just as good if not Better than all the Dyson vacuums I've spent Much more money on. I'd definitely recommend this vacuum.

I have 2 Dyson (both Animals) and knew they weren’t getting everything up. My Bissel Carpet Cleaner was getting more up than hthey were. I decided to try the Shark and no more Dyson for me. Tested by vacuuming my office first with the Dyson and all it got was my hair. Vacuumed next with the Shark and I was both thrilled at what it picked up and frustrated at the Dyson for leaving it all behind to begin with. Shark for the WIN!!!

I had to replace my old Shark vacuum I’d had for 9 years! Part of the tubing had dry rotted and the suction was greatly reduced. I loved the one I had as you could change from hard floor, carpet and rug with just your thumb on the handle. Finding that model again with the new brush roll was difficult. Sold out everywhere. My hubby told me about this model on sale. Even though it’s different I decided to try it. We don’t have carpet, only tile and area rugs. If it works on the rugs without sucking them up, it passes. Only one of my rugs does it not work on. There is a max/ min suction button on the handle and bare floor and carpet setting. It works amazingly well!! I could definitely see how much my old vacuum was missing. We have 3 big dogs, live in the country and have big amounts of dirt and hair. It gets it all!!! So while it isn’t exactly like my older model, it works very well!!!

My last vacuum was a Shark and it was a good vacuum that lasted a long time. I knew that I was going to stick with the Shark brand when time came to buy a new one. This was on sale, and I have two cats and a dog so it seemed like a logical purchase. The suction and power this vacuum has is AMAZING! With animals you wind up vacuuming frequently and I thought my old one was doing a good job.This Shark Pet-Pro lift away cleans your carpet like a professional cleaner would. I highly recommend this vacuum if you have pets, or just want clean carpets.

This is a powerful vacuum and it does a super job of picking up pet hair and dirt/grit from carpet. Very please about that! I have a dog and a cat that shed so I vacuum a lot. I have it 4 stars because the ergonomics could be better. Have to bend down to both turn on and off, and to change the from hard surface to carpet. The control for more less suction is on the top handle. I don't have any carpet but I do have area rugs so I am constantly bending down to transition from hard surface to carpet and back again. The attachments are good. I have an older Shark that came with more attachments and they all work with the new Shark. The upholstery atachment works great on fabric chairs.

Does a great job! Remodeling & our old one decided to show its age… bought this one & have used it daily since…. Like that some attachments attach to it so everything is at hand. Easily empties & hose wand works perfectly too! Good machine at a great price.

Shark has really downgraded what was once a great pet vacuum. They have removed the electrically charged attachments that could get under beds and small low places. It now relies solely on suction power-which isn’t enough. The removed the light that used to stay on at the end of the wand when using it with attachment. Now you can’t see the places well when you vacuum with the wand. The removed the high or low carpet option. It’s now only carpet or hardwood. They changed the location of the carpet to hard floor switch from the thumb location-which made switching from floor to carpet super easy- down to the body of vacuum by canister- so now it’s a very deliberate need to stop vacuuming to change the position then start vacuuming again. Really bad designing. Extensively and obviously cheapened it. Oh and the cord holder is on the left not right. So as the world is mostly right handed it forces you to have the cord cross over the body of the vacuum to hold it up while vacuuming. Sorry no degradation to all you wonderful lefties out there!! You probably live it!!! Overall poorly designed, downgraded version of what used to be great vacuum.

I have been a huge fan of Shark vacuums since switching from Dyson. This particular vacuum is cheaply made and does not work as well as my previous one. The front roller brush pops off. The canister never fully empties because hair gets stuck in the rubber around the opening.

It started off great but went downhill fast. The positives: It’s lightweight and has great suction. The cons: the dog hair gets stuck around the self cleaning rotator and you have to dig it out. This is the second model with this soft brush roller in the front that has done this. Both are “pet pro’s”. The worst is the fact that the wheel literally fell off after using it only two times. I really wish they would make Shark vacs like they used to!

I loved Shark vacuums until I bought this model. Whoever redesigned this machine wasn’t a woman. The switch on the handle has to be pushed 5-6 times to get the machine to turn on or off. It’s inconvenient, heavy, suction quality is poor and just poorly designed. Go back to the old model!
