I am very disappointed with this pie crust. I have uses them for years after seeing that this was the only crust my mother would use. If it's good enough for mom, it's good enough for me. However it has been a couple years since I have made a pie, tried one this weekend and what a disappointment! The crust shrank so bad that I ended up with half my pudding filling in a separate bowl. Thinking I must have done something wrong I come here to the website and find many people with the same complaint. I truly hope that Pillsbury actually reads these reviews and makes changes. This USED to be a very good product!!!

Of course some homemade crusts are larger and flakier but no guarantees with that for me so I just stick to these premade crusts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favorite choice when I am going to make a pie. It is the closest to homemade. Every one loves my pies and thinks they are homemade. It is so easy to use and their is no mess to clean up. Fast, easy and economical.

This pie crust has definitely changed and not for the better. I have used this pie crust for years, and after my experience this time it may be the last. I made pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving and the dough seemed to have several issues. 1) it was sticking to itself when I was trying to unroll it, 2) it didn’t fit my 9” pie pans very well, 3) I couldn’t get the pie pieces out of the pan, because the crust was sticking to the edges of my pie pan (same pie pans my Mom used for years then passed on to me several years back). Not only was it embarrassing for me at my dinner but even more of an embarrassment when I gave one of the pies to a family friend and find out they had the same trouble and 4) It had a very odd flavor. Nothing worse than a mutilated piece of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving. I also made pumpkin pecan tassies that I have made for years using this same crust. These were even baked in a nonstick pan and the tassies were still stuck in the muffin cavities. Pillsbury needs to figure out what the problem is, or if they changed the recipe they need to go back to the original.

It is sooooo flaky and has a wonderful flavor. I have tried store brands before and they are not too bad, but if I can get pillsbury, even if it’s a little pricier, I go for that every time!

The crusts were crispy, and tasted good. Some pie crusts are very dry and crumbly, but these were not like that. I would buy again. And they were reasonably priced.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would recommend this Pillsbury pie crust. I use it to make peach cobblers and apple pies. The crust cooks up really nice and moist. When you cook it properly the beautiful brown color it gets makes the flavor in the fruit even more delicious. I would highly recommend this product.

It seems like it’s gotten better over the years. It’s great for pies, but I also use it to make little pastries by cutting up the piecrust into whatever shape I am looking for.
