I am frustrated with the pie crusts shrinking and ruining my pies. They used to be a good time saver, but now they're just not worth it. Not only does the pie look terrible, the filling gets under the crust causing it to stick and you can't even get it out in a nice piece. I'm done!

I honestly believe it is worth the extra money to get this name brand over other cheaper options. I've never used it with anything other than pot pie, however, so I can't speak to its use with anything else.

I have used this crust for years to make pastie's or meat-vegetable pies. In the last few of quality of the crust has definately deteriorated. The top splits apart and causes the meat pies to look messy along with losing all the steam that cooks the vegetables and meat. Not happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pie-crust is one of those things where buying the name brand is worth it. The Pillsbury pie crust is the only one I’ll use for my famous chicken pot pie. You get 2 crusts, they roll out easily and bake to a nice golden brown in about 20 mins.

It would appear that a great majority of corporations producing pie crusts are doing much the same as all other manufacturers, in that they are, slowly but surely, reducing the size of their products.  Remember the 3 Musketeers Bar of 30-40 years ago?  And the "Penny Candy" of days gone by?  Prices go up and up over the years, even as the size of the products go down and the net pay of the lower and middle classes go stagnant or go down.  Being on a fixed income (Retired) means becoming very frugal and particular with purchases.  It has been some time since I purchased a number of Pillsbury Items, but I will try again to see how they are doing and will write POSTAL LETTERS if I am not happy with a product.  Do you all really think that anyone at Pillsbury REALLY reads these things...that a Big Corporation would PAY anyone to do that?????   REALLY?

I’ve successfully used these pie crusts for years, but today’s effort was a disaster. Reading through the reviews, I see I’m not alone. The sides shrunk so badly that I needed to use 5 crusts before I got one that was usable. I would have given up after the second try, but my family had been promised a fresh strawberry pie. I don’t know what changed, but I won’t be using this product again. Pillsbury, please fix this!

I have a food allergy to all mammals (beef, pork, lamb, etc) and in food products made from animals (milk cheese, lard) due to a tick bite. The allergy is called Alpha-gal allergy. This has become a huge problem in the Midwest, south and parts of the north east. Please note that there is lard in your refrigerated pie crust. It should be listed as an allergy on your ingredients. The only way to prevent this allergy is to avoid eating mammalian food. I have spent two very miserable days trying to figure out what I ate to cause a reaction. It was the LARD in the pie crust. Please reevaluate the ingredients in all of the pie crust and alert the consumer of the problem. Thank you for your cooperation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a dear friend who begged me to make him a lemon meringue pie. Please understand that I hadn't made one in over 25 years but since he kept begging me, I agreed. However, I wasn't up to making a pie crust from scratch so I bought a package of the Pillsbury Premade pie crusts. Oh my goodness . . . when he ate his first piece of pie he raved about my pie crust! LOL I never told him the real story! Obviously they are very good! I highly recommend them!!
