This pie crust is flakey and has a good texture. It tastes better than homemade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Funny story. Several years ago where I met my 75 year old mothers in law for the first time she had baked a pie for dessert. I really was impressed with the crust and asking for her recipe. She told me it was Betty Crocker and I couldn’t believe it. I decided if a 75 year old woman who made everything from scratch could use a Betty Crocker pie crust then so could I. I have been using them ever since.

Convenient Pie crust for those who want a homemade taste fast and simple.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pie crust is just as good as if you make it yourself. I use it for cobblers, pies and pot pies. The only thing I dislike about the pie crust is that I have to wait for it to thaw a little before I unfold it.

I am in the process of making tomato pie.I just bought your Pillsbury Dough Pie Crust. The recipe calls for a 9 inch deep pie plate and I only bought 1 box of the Pillsbury Dough Pie Crust that holds 2 dough crusts. The 1st dough pie crust didn't reach the top of the pie plate and while prebaking and to make matters worse: the pie dough sides fell onto itself, and I was unable to use that dough at all. So, with a second pie crust attempt, that too did the same thing! Both were heaved out.Now I'm stuck with all of these ingredients and no pie dough.Would be great for a tiny pie!

Like other reviewers, I agree that the crust is very thin and did shrink. It didn't shrink as much as others stated, but I used weights and covered the crust edge with a silicone crust protector. This was the first and last time I'll use this product. I threw away the unused second crust.

First time pie baker. New to cooking. I used these refrigerated pie doughs. Followed directions of letting it get to room temperature before unrolling(easy). I then placed it into a "metal" pie pan and pressed to the bottom and sides, folded the edges and crimped. I poked holes in it and refrigerated it for 10 minutes to aid for not shrinking. Baked as directed. No shrinkage. So, I must of done something right.

I tried to use this crust to prebake and fill for lemon meringue.  It shrunk all the way to the bottom of my pie dish.  I thought it was because I forgot to pierce with fork, so I tried again.Guess what?  It did it again.  Really pressed for time here and thought this would be easier and quicker than making my own crust.  Soooooo disappointed!

Two days ago (01/21/25) I made a turkey pot pie. I did not have the time to make piecrusts, so I used Pillsbury Pie Crusts. I was concerned because I'd found so many negative reviews for the piecrusts on this site. But I had no other option. I used them. The "BEST if used by" date on the package was "14 MAR 2025." A few things: 1) Both crusts had an eleven-inch diameter. More than enough for a nine-inch pie. 2) There was absolutely no unusual smell. 3) I blind-baked the bottom crust. Shrinkage was minimal -- just what you'd expect from a properly-made piecrust. (All properly-made piecrusts MUST shrink somewhat as they lose water during baking.) 4) The crusts had a very good flavor. I recommend these piecrusts highly.

How do you sell a pie crust product that has been shrunk both in thickness and circumference so that it tears at a mere touch and no longer fits a standard pie plate? This was my favorite go to pie crust when I did not have time to make my own. You might have saved a few pennies per box, but you lost a customer.

This was the worst pie dough I have ever used!! I have used your pie dough in the past, and it's always been decent, the pie dough i bought this time must have been missing some ingredient, because both pie crusts SHRUNK when I pre-baked them. Next time I will stick to making my own dough from scratch. Your product was a waste of money.
