Made this for family Christmas party and it was a big hit. Lots of compliments. One person even said he hadn't had a flaky crust like that since his grandma made pies for him. I noticed it was better than usual too. I looked at the ingredients and noticed that the recipe recently switched out soybean oil for lard. I think that made a positive difference. Many studies are showing that industrial vegetable and seed oils like soybean oil are causing excessive inflammation and it is important to minimize consumption. I welcome the change, back to old-fashioned basics really.

One of my favorites

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a staple product that I use for various recipes. I love making anything from chicken pot pie to fresh crispy blueberry pie. This product adds so much flavor and a wonderful texture to my favorite dishes. My family absolutely loves it.

I love these because who wants to make their own dough? I can whip up a graham cracker crust, but regular pie crust is a pain. These are great! Cheap and great quality! Either use them for 2 open-faced pies or 1 double crust pie. I love to cut out circles for hand pies, and then use a variety of fillings! Makes about 12 hand pies per package, definitely a crowd pleaser. I literally just bought 5 packs of these for thanksgiving.

For Pete's sake, these crusts have gone so far down hill! Try and stick 2 together to actually have enough to make a pie. Your product is awful. You made the crust too small to use and sacrificed quality ingredients so you clowns can keep increasing profits. Garbage

Have used these many times in the past, but the last three were problems! First, after placing in glass pie pan and piercing thoroughly with a fork, it formed a bubble in the center so high as to make it useless. The second two stuck to the pie plate so bad it wouldn't cut without crumbling. Something has changed!

I agree with so many others' reviews here! What did you do the these once perfect pie crusts?? I have made pumpkin and pecan pies for years with perfect results using these crusts, but his year these pie crusts were horrible. They did not come all the way up the sides of the SAME pie pans I have used for years (since the 70's) and they were very thin and pretty much glued to the bottom of the pie plates which has never happened before! They were an embarrassment to serve. What gives? Why change it up so drastically? I am extremely disappointed with Pillsbury and want you to fix this. Go back to making the pie crusts the same way you always have. I thought you were better than this, Pillsbury.

Never fails

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pie crust is delicious and so easy to use. Great for pies of course, but also for so many other recipes calling for a “crust”. Why go through the hassle and uncertainties of making your own when this sure thing is available

Delicious and Flaky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this pie crust. Not a baker so easy to unroll and use. I used it to make home made chicken pot pies. The crust was nice and flaky and cooked golden brown. I would definitely recommend this pie crust to those who do not know how to make their own crust.

Very disappointed with the dough shrinking in my 9.5" x 1.25" standard pie plate. I follow the directions for thawing out and all the rest, yet I consistently get a horribly shrunken crust with the sides all disfigured and slumped to the bottom. I wish I could post some pics of the mess. Just tonight, I pricked the bottom liberally with a fork and still got a bulge in the middle. Also, Where's the extra dough to crimp along the top edge? It's barely enough Pillsbury. I don't remember having such issues years ago. Ridiculous! I am never buying this garbage again!! Tired of wacked crusts and having to explain/complain to my family.
