I've used this product for years, but my most recent experience was disappointing. The pie crust didn't fit my 9 inch pie plate with enough overhang to make pretty edges. And the crust seemded to shrink down the sides of the pie plate during baking. I don't know what Pillsbury has done to this product, or why. I would pay more for a good product! For now, I'm shopping for a different brand, perhaps a house brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this pie crust. It tastes like my home made crust. Really like the way it is packaged and rolled. So easy to use. Leave on counter about 15 min to soften and unroll and place in pie pan. I always dust with a little flour at bottom of pan before placing in pie pan. I use two crusts in a 9x11 or 9x13 inch glass pan when I need 2 pies. I use egg wash before punching holes and putting in oven. Saves prep time. Comes out golden brown. Let cool and add filling of your choice. I top with whipped topping. Mmm good!! Love this pie crust. Best pie crust I have used. Love Love it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pie crusts are so much easier than making my own from scratch and taste just as good. My mother taught me how to make pie crust and she made the best pies. I used to make my own pie crusts from scratch but with five children and working full time, I did not have the time. When I started using Pillsbury ready made pie crusts, my mother couldn't tell the difference and thought that I had made them myself!

Something has changed. Every year for July 4th we make lemon meringue pie and pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving and  use these crusts. They were foolproof. BUT AFTER FAILED crusts on three holidays now i can't blame myself, I'm doing things the same way I used to. The crusts shrink terribly and even when pierced they get huge bubbles in the center. My beautiful pies are a thing of the past. Pillsbury what the heck did u do to this product? Is this due to removal of trans fats or something ??

I have used these for years. This year both pie crust were stuck so they wouldn't unroll. I didn't have time to make my own or run to the store, so this put a Sade face on my Thanksgiving meal. Where has the pride in a producing a good product gone, disappointed so won't make the same mistake again!

My 2 pies are a mess tonight.  What happened to your piecrusts? They would not unroll without sticking and tearing.  I had to unroll 3 and then doctor them to get 2 half-way decent crusts.  Something has changed!  One crust has slipped into the custard and looks awful.  I am sure that it will taste fine but I am going to someone else's home tomorrow and my pies are not the quality that they usually are.

Clearly the recipe has changed. The last crusts I bought were a huge disappointment. It was like eating thin pieces of cardboard. Go back to the original formula or give up the dough business. I feel like I wasted money on the other cobbler ingredients.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am someone that loves to make food from scratch. However, I am also limited with how much time I have. When I found that Pillsbury offered a pre-made, two packaged crust, I started buying it many years ago. I love to use it for making strawberry rhubarb pie, apple pie, quiche and a family favorite, chicken pot pie! So easy to use and it breaks up wonderfully! Just like home made!

Wish the crust was slightly larger so I could crimp the edges of a 9” pie dish. Also, it smells terrible and doesn’t taste good. It was flaky, though. I haven’t had any issues with shrinkage of the crusts I’ve used them twice in recent weeks. Blind baked both with weights. Also, a couple of the crusts had dry, crusty edges when I took them out of the package. They were not in the same box, either. Maybe the wrapping isn’t getting properly sealed. You’re stuck using it because if you cut any amount off, you’re probably not going to have enough crust. Yeah, I know you can roll it out a little thinner, but I’m not the kind of person who is going to take the time to do that. If I was, I’d be making my own crust.
