Excellent Pie Crusts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these pie crusts! I used to make my own, but these taste as good (or possibly better!) than my homemade ones. Snd of course so much easier and quicker. I like that you can put then in your own pie plate , which makes for a much prettier pie than the frozen crusts that are in aluminum pans (and fo not taste nearly as good). Would heartily recommend them!

Delicious and simple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just as good as home made, only way easier. I’m an avid at-home baker and will make everything from scratch, but pie crust is one of those things that Pillsbury does just as well but makes it so much easier.

It would appear that a great majority of corporations producing pie crusts are doing much the same as all other manufacturers, in that they are, slowly but surely, reducing the size of their products.  Remember the 3 Musketeers Bar of 30-40 years ago?  And the "Penny Candy" of days gone by?  Prices go up and up over the years, even as the size of the products go down and the net pay of the lower and middle classes go stagnant or go down.  Being on a fixed income (Retired) means becoming very frugal and particular with purchases.  It has been some time since I purchased a number of Pillsbury Items, but I will try again to see how they are doing and will write POSTAL LETTERS if I am not happy with a product.  Do you all really think that anyone at Pillsbury REALLY reads these things...that a Big Corporation would PAY anyone to do that?????   REALLY?

Tasty but shrinks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this crust many times to make salmon quiche. This time, I was disappointed to see the pie crust shrank a lot when cooked. It didn't hold it's shape over the pie pan edge which caused the eggs to seep under the crust.

My Go-To Crust!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are my go-to crusts for my quiches! I love the delicate flavor and ease of preparing them. I recently used them for a pastry and was delighted with the results! Perfect for those that shy away from making their own pie crust. Highly recommended!

Have used these many times in the past, but the last three were problems! First, after placing in glass pie pan and piercing thoroughly with a fork, it formed a bubble in the center so high as to make it useless. The second two stuck to the pie plate so bad it wouldn't cut without crumbling. Something has changed!

It was the best pie crust regardless of sweet or savory dish and always more consistent than my homemade. But it shrinks now and when served as a leftover there is an aftertaste. I hope Pillsbury fixes the recipe. But having said this, it is still a crowd pleaser and the best dough around and I keep it in my refrigerator at all times just in case I have to impress in a hurry. Seriously Pillsbury - other comments reflect the change in quality. In the past I would have given it a 5

Because I was making the entire meal myself, I used these as the bottom crust for two pies this Thanksgiving to save time. They were absolutely horrible. I used them as directed on the package directions and the crusts never baked. They were raw. It was disgusting and ruined the pies. Disgusting.

What in the name of Betty Freaking Crocker have you done to the pie crusts? My pecan pies and Thanksgiving were a disaster thanks to excessive shrinkage. And don’t give me some story about what I did wrong or my pan. I’ve used the same pan and recipe for 25 years. I’m sorry you didn’t have less than 1 star to leave.
