Fit my pie dish fine. Rolled out fine. No issues there. Was able to use the top piece for a latice design and everything looked great. The flavor was pretty bad though. Definitely tasted artificial and weird. There’s no way I’d buy this pie dough again. If you’re putting effort into a making a great pie, don’t risk it all by using this dough.

Have the pie crusts shrunk in size? I can normally make a 9 inch pie with enough dough left to crimp the edges, but not anymore. I’d rather pay a bit more for the original pie crust than have it smaller!! I even tried rolling it a bit to increase the size, however, it would have become too thin. Very disappointed!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this pie crust all of the time for my chicken pot pie. It unrolls easily and has a fresh taste every time. It is as close to homemade as I e been able to find, very flakey and a buttery taste. I recommend placing it at room temperature for about 20 minutes prior to use to have the best results when using this dough. Enjoy

Two days ago (01/21/25) I made a turkey pot pie. I did not have the time to make piecrusts, so I used Pillsbury Pie Crusts. I was concerned because I'd found so many negative reviews for the piecrusts on this site. But I had no other option. I used them. The "BEST if used by" date on the package was "14 MAR 2025." A few things: 1) Both crusts had an eleven-inch diameter. More than enough for a nine-inch pie. 2) There was absolutely no unusual smell. 3) I blind-baked the bottom crust. Shrinkage was minimal -- just what you'd expect from a properly-made piecrust. (All properly-made piecrusts MUST shrink somewhat as they lose water during baking.) 4) The crusts had a very good flavor. I recommend these piecrusts highly.

I just purchased your crust and nowhere on the package does it mention size of crust , which is important to know . Also would be nice to have size options available and size listed on the package and leave out the artificial colors and preservatives ,it rolled out fairly easily only sticking together in the center , so I managed to get it in the pan and repaired it . Too small for the pie I was making so not a pretty pie . I purchased to save time but not thrilled at all .

Please understand that I hadn't made one in over 25 years but since he kept begging me, I agreed. However, I wasn't up to making a pie crust from scratch so I bought a package of the Pillsbury Premade pie crusts. Oh my goodness . . . when he ate his first piece of pie he raved about my pie crust! LOL I never told him the real story! Obviously they are very good! I highly recommend them!!

I, too, have been a user of these pie crusts for years and have never had the shrinkage issue!! I went through 3 crusts and each one had the sides collapse down to nothing. I even went to an 8" pie pan and followed the directions and had about half of it shrink! Will not use this brand again. Guess it is time for me to learn how to make my mom's awesome pie crust! I would give it a zero star if I could.

They are as delicious as homemade and look very nice, as you treat them like a homemade for the edges and any decorative touches. Highly recommend!

I am not sure why the people who are complaining about the size of the crust don't just using a "good old fashioned" rolling pin and a pastry mat.  I have never made a pie without rolling our the crust and wouldn't think of NOT rolling it out. I've used these pie crusts for 40+ years and have no complaints about the size as long as you use a rolling pin!  They roll out to fit a deep dish pie plate or a shallower one with pastry to spare so you can crimp it around the edges to keep it from sliding down the edge of the dish.  The quality of the generic crusts are not near as good as Pillsbury. I am a VERY satisfied customer.
