What has changed? I have used these pie shells for

What has changed? I have used these pie shells for many years. I cooked at least 10 pies over the holidays. EVERY ONE of the crust stuck to the pan. Some were cooked in foil pans, others in glass. All had the same result. I also made quiche in the shells pre-made in the foil pan. That crust also stuck. Taste was the same, but getting it out of the pan was a complete mess.

I, too, have been a user of these pie crusts for years and have never had the shrinkage issue!! I went through 3 crusts and each one had the sides collapse down to nothing. I even went to an 8" pie pan and followed the directions and had about half of it shrink! Will not use this brand again. Guess it is time for me to learn how to make my mom's awesome pie crust! I would give it a zero star if I could.

Pie in a hurry

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] these pie crusts work perfectly. I tend to roll it out a little bit after to get rid of any wrinkles, and shininess. A lot easier to use than making your own, and I am a baker. When i have time i make my own, but I would rather use these

Pillsbury pie crust so much easier than homemade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these crusts. So much easier than making homemade. Really cannot tell the difference. I used them to make quiches and chicken pot pie quite frequently. I made pasties with them last week and they turned out great. They get golden brown and very flaky. My go to for pie.

I have used the frozen crust many times for pies and my quiche recipes. I like the time saving element. Lately, I have encountered problems. Even when no filling oozes through the crust, it seems that the sides stick to the aluminum pan. This precludes a firm complete slice. Additionally, my past two packages had cracked crusts. Although I trust the Pillsbury brand, I detect a quality problem.

Just like Homemade only better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this product! It's so quick, convenient and easy to use anytime I want to make a pie. I'm no good at making pie crusts so I love that I can use these and it's as if I made it from scratch myself. It looks and tastes just like it's homemade. Use it the same way you normally would use a pie crust you made. Give it a try I know you will love it too!

Ironic that some folks are complaining about the lard. Lard is actually better for you than vegetable oils. Saturated fats and cholesterol are not he cause of heart disease - this old mythology has been dis-proven. Sugar and trans fats are the real culprits. So lard is OK. But,,,,, partially hydrogenated lard is not OK because partially hydrogenated translates into contains trans fats which have been shown to be one of the primary causes of the inflammation of the endothelial cells lining our arteries leading to heart disease. Trans fats have been banned in many countries and are in the process of being banned in the United States... So this product just needs to be updated and have the partially hydrogenated lard replaced without something safer like coconut oil or palm oil...

Easy piecrust

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These piecrusts are great for a quick pie, quiche or anything needing a crust. They taste good and are flaky too. They unroll and I use my own pie tin. When someone asks, "did you make the crust?" I always say, "It's in my pie tin isn't it"!

You can't beat these pie crusts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pie crusts are the best! My grandmother started using these pie crusts when I was just a kid and I carried on the tradition of using them too. They make wonderful crusts for pie and they are also great for chicken pot pies. They are so handy and convenient and when you are ready to bake a pie or make a meal with them like a chicken pot pie they are ready to go. No mixing dough or rolling out dough just take them out of their package and put in a pie plate. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a quick and easy pie crust.

Excellent Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Pillsbury Pie Crust for years. I have tried other crust but none compare to Pillsbury. Just the fact that you take them out of the refrigerator let them warm for 15 minutes and bake a pie, that sure beats making one by hand.
