So, usually my husband makes his own pie crust. He has RA and this year he just couldn't do it. America's Test Kitchen and my friend Cheryl recommended Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust. I had high hopes. We were both very disappointed. It reminded me of my sister-in-law's pie the year she experimented with lard vs vegetable shortening. It was heavy and not at all flaky. I wonder if you might consider using vegetable shortening. We used to use Crisco but in recent years switched to Spectrum which we like better. As for us, I guess if we can't make our own crust, we won't be eating pie for the holidays.

Almost un edible. I made my pumpkin hand pies and they just didnt look right when they came out of the oven. When we ate them they tasted horrible, like way too much salt was put into the dough recipe. Made pumpkin pie for our christmas very disappointing

My top choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great for chicken pot pie or any dish. It bakes up so flaky and buttery that you could just about eat on its own. This is a definite top pick for me, and my go to. There are cheaper choices, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Easy and really convenient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time making apple pie. I used the rolled Pillsbury Pie crusts and they made the whole process very easy. I took out the package from the fridge and kept it on the counter for 15-20 mins to bring it to room temperature. It needed a bit of care to unroll but it was pretty simple. When I cut strips for the lattice, I used a bit of almond flour on my wooden board before laying the rolled crust on it. That’s all. Highly recommend if you have guests coming over or if you need a quick pie!

Easy and Delicious!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an item I always have in my refrigerator. It makes baking a breakfast quiche on the spur of the moment a snap. Another favorite use is to turn leftovers into a pot pie for a dressed-up weeknight dinner. And of course - it's great for pies!

My Go-To Crust!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are my go-to crusts for my quiches! I love the delicate flavor and ease of preparing them. I recently used them for a pastry and was delighted with the results! Perfect for those that shy away from making their own pie crust. Highly recommended!

Pillsbury thought we wouldn't notice that they made this product smaller!  It used to be 16 oz.  That's why its shrinking.  I am unable to make a pie with these.  In addition, I can't make a quiche because one side always slides down.  If I'm bringing a pie or a quiche to a party its an embarrassment. Now I'm buying the store brand - at least they give you 15 oz for less money. Unless there's another easy way out there, I'm just going to buy the frozen Mrs. Smiths.  Thank you Pillsbury for wasting our money.  We trusted you.

I've been using Pillsbury pie crusts for years and something happened today that has never happened.  I was baking a crust to use for quiche and it puffed all up as if there were a second layer.  I used the second crust and didn't have much better luck.  Such a disappointment!

Easy and delicious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product. It’s so easy to use and tastes great! I’m an avid baker and very picky about my products so I usually make everything from scratch, but I don’t feel like I’m sacrificing anything if I use this in a pinch or if I’m just feeling lazy!

You have undoubtedly absolutely ruined this pie crust.  I have used it for years and to begin with it was wonderful.   Now it shrinks until they are the ugliest pies I have ever baked.  The crust is also hard, not flakey like it used to be.  I will have to start making my own again.  Sorry you can`t leave things alone when they are good to begin with.
