We’re sorry for the experience you had. Here are additional steps that can help prevent a doughy or soggy‑bottomed pie: * Check your oven temperature. If the oven runs too hot, the top crust can brown quickly while the filling and bottom crust remain undercooked. * Bake on the center rack to help the bottom crust cook evenly. If you’re also worried about bubbling over, place a cookie sheet or foil on the rack below the pie. No changes to time or temperature are needed — just bake until the crust is golden brown and the juices are bubbling through the slits. * For a two‑crust pie, brushing the bottom crust with a light coating of egg white before adding the filling can help create a moisture barrier. * For a one‑crust pie, prebake the crust for 3–5 minutes before adding the filling to give the bottom a head start. * Cool the pie on a cooling rack so air can circulate underneath, which helps keep the bottom from becoming soggy as it cools. We hope this tips are helpful moving forward.

I have used the refrigerated pie crusts for 15 yr

I have used the refrigerated pie crusts for 15 yrs. and very satisfied including an apple pie in Oct. Pumpkin pie baked for Thanksgiving a major disappointment. Crust receded at least 1/2 in. from edge and bottom crust was shiny and basically raw dough. The crust was also noticeably thinner.

I used to love this crust. It rolled out great, cooked light and fluffy. While using it today it was crumbly and weird. I checked the ingredients and there is now LARD in this. As a vegetarian, this is a total bummer. Plus the crust was lower quality.

Convenient Pie crust for those who want a homemade taste fast and simple.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pie crust is just as good as if you make it yourself. I use it for cobblers, pies and pot pies. The only thing I dislike about the pie crust is that I have to wait for it to thaw a little before I unfold it.

The last three times--including today--I have used these pie crusts, they have shrunk almost too small to use. Have you changed the recipe or size? I have used these for years and always loved them, but now I am very disappointed. The taste is still good, but I don't know if I'll buy them any more.

I have used this crust for years to make pastie's or meat-vegetable pies. In the last few of quality of the crust has definately deteriorated. The top splits apart and causes the meat pies to look messy along with losing all the steam that cooks the vegetables and meat. Not happy.

BEST and EASIEST CRUST EVER!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this crust mainly when I make Chicken Pot Pie. I don’t try to make my own crust when this is so much easier and better! It is sooooo flaky and has a wonderful flavor. I have tried store brands before and they are not too bad, but if I can get pillsbury, even if it’s a little pricier, I go for that every time!

Pie crust shrinks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the crust tastes good, I had problems with it shrinking and falling over from sides of pie plate although I was being careful not to stretch the dough. Might be something I did wrong but tried several times with same results.
