We have a mix of surfaces in our house and pets and kids. The CrossWave HydroSteam was basically made for us. My first time using it was in our Master Bathroom after our semi-regular cleaning service had just come through. I was curious to see how it would perform on a freshly vacuumed and mopped area. As you can see from the photos of the dirty water, SteamWash mode amazingly still picked up so much dirt. Even walking around the bathroom barefoot I could feel how much cleaner the tile was. Since then I've used it on all of our other surfaces in all sorts of scenarios. I was expecting it to perform amazingly well (and it does) when cleaning up small messes, but I've been amazed at how well it handles cleaning cleaning in general. Never would have guessed so much grime and dirt gets left behind after moping. Our floors are cleaner than they've ever been. One of the most impressive features is how well the filter works. Given how much dog hair inevitably gets swept up, I was expecting a gross and messy process of separating the hair from the dirty water. But the mechanism keeps them mostly separate so I can dispose of the dirty water without fear of dog hair clogging our drains. We unfortunately have some wood floors in one area that are not sealed the traditional way, and the CrossWave should apparently not be used there. Almost makes me want to redo our floors so that I can keep them fully clean too. One other thing to note: Don't run the self-clean function twice in a row without emptying the stand. Some water will accumulate in the stand and if it's not emptied, it will overflow a little. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. All-in-all I'm a huge fan of the vacuum.

The Bissell Crosswave is a solid performing wet dry vacuum that acts like a cross between a mop, vacuum, and rug shampoo-er. After using it, I think it is more of a deep cleaning tool than an everyday picker upper, and if you go into it with that expectation you won't be disappointed. It's simple to use and picks up dirt and gunk from floors and rugs that a regular vacuum won't. It also leaves a great smelling aroma! Unlike a regular vacuum, the brush roll is all cloth and acts like a mop. It's not the same as a vacuum brush roll and isn't as good at straight vacuuming. It's a bit cumbersome. This isn't a grab and go dust buster. It takes set up time to fill with cleaning solution and every time you finish you need to clean it out and air dry the parts. In conclusion, it's a great vacuum mop. Just don't expect it to be your everyday do-it-all household cleaner. It's more of a deep clean machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In January, I slipped and fell in a patch of mud outside my home. Breaking my ankle in three places and dislocating it as well, left me in a wheelchair. I am without the use of my right leg, as during the healing it is non-weight bearing. That said, I had to get up and do something in the house as I was having some issues with sitting all day, doing nothing. I could hear the Bissell Crosswave calling my name. My poor Crosswave and I had not bonded for a couple of months and it being so lightweight and easy to maneuver, I thought, "Why not today?" I set it up, plugged it in, and headed into my living room, where most of my Siberian husky's hair drops. I grabbed the broom and scooped up most of the hair he leaves behind, simply because I don't want to overwork the Crosswave. There are piles of hair from my dog just existing. After sweeping a bit, put the Bissell Crosswave to the test. Much to my surprise, it was so light I could use it from my wheelchair! This excited me to no end. My poor floors needed a good vacuum and mopping to get them back in order. I was so happy to be able to accomplish this task even while in my current predicament. All I can say is, "Thank you, Bissell, for the amazing Crosswave Hydrosteam Plus!" What a God send this machine is. I can even clean it out easily, fill the tank with the solution to clean it all out and press the self cleaning mode button, all from the safety of my wheelchair. I not only will (and have) told many others about this machine, but I have advocated the product outside of my friend circle, and have done so in my blog. I have written a couple of posts about the ease of use and the pure joy of using this product. Please, Bissell, continue to produce this item and do your magic by upgrading it, although I'm not quite sure how you can make it better. Thank you, again. Without this, I could not clean my floors for several more months before I heal enough to walk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Bissell Crosswave a few times and can say that I am overall really satisfied with the product. I received the Bissell CrossWave® HydroSteam™ Plus Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vac as a free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program in exchange for an honest review. I can honestly say that it does a really fantastic job cleaning my hardwood, tile, and carpet. It also worked on a rug of mine that had gotten dirt spots on it from my Goldendoodle. I will share a picture of what was cleaned up from the floor with the Bissell after I had done a regular cleaning with a standard mop the day before. I was really surprised that there was still as much dirt left on my tile floor. The only thing I was not a fan of was cleaning the machine after using it. They made it as easy as pushing a button to actually clean the machine but, you have to take the brush and filter out to dry which is not hard to do but takes extra time. Having to buy the cleaning solution seems like an added expense as well. Overall I think this is a great product but will be something I use about once a week to deep clean my floors.

As a busy mom in a busy household, anything that saves a little time can make a big difference in our day. Not only does this vacuum safe me a ton of time because I can clean sticky messes at the same time I am vacuuming, it also does a great job and dealing with both types of messes. The SteamWash setting works so well and get messes unbelievably clean. One of the best things about this vacuum is how incredibly easy it is to clean! Can't recommend this machine enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the original cross wave and my only complaint was that you had to add hot water to the clean tank to get the hot water clean feeling, but if you didn't use it all then you got cold the next time. The only reason for another cross wave purchase was the steam feature of this one. I was hoping that the fact that this one had steam would make me love it even more than my other....who doesn't love steam to clean?!? Unfortunately that is not that case and I'm actually sad that I purchased another one when it really wasn't needed and the steam part about it was such a let down. The hydro steam cross wave did seem to have a little more suction of the excess water on the backward sweep but that could of been because it was new. It did sadly use an entire tank to clean just my kitchen area, the main reason being that holding the water button down continuously is the only way to get the steam feature. The dirty tank did not hold the entire tank of the clean water and I had to dump the dirty water tank three times on that one clean water tank, every time I tipped it back to clean it set off the float device and would stop suctioning it was really frustrating. This was a 2 on the star rating category for me! It also didn't feel like the steam feature really cleaned any better than my original cross wave by adding hot water to the tank. I also really disliked the bulky front of the hydro steam cross wave, it made it very difficult to clean to the edge of your floor and under cabinets, my original had a skinny front and did a much better job getting to the edge. This was a 3 on the star rating for me. I do like the darker color scheme as it makes it look high end and in the long run will appear less dirty but doesn't change anything on how the product runs or performs. I still love that the cross wave does do your vacuuming and mopping in one, the hydro steam or any cross wave product would still be a great purchase if you have hard floor surfaces though out your home.

I have a weekly cleaning service who comes and mops and sweeps but this machine really showed me that my floors are still pretty dirty! It's easy to use and pretty versatile for different types of floors. I love how you can clean so much with it! It easily got kids messes like sticky juice spills and caked on play doh off the floor. I wish it were a little quieter but overall I think this is a great product and highly recommend it!

Especially great for pets and all the cleanup they require. I have mostly tile and hardwood floors and some area rugs in my home and this vacuum fit all my needs! Definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am beyond impressed with the CrossWave HydroSteam vacuum. An all-in-one vacuum that you can use on hardwood floors, area rugs, and carpet is truly impressive and immediately shocked how much cleaner our floors are. Within a few days of receiving this vacuum, my baby spit up on our carpet. The HydroSteam vacuumed the spitup up using the carpet cleaner solution and saved us trying to wipe it up, spraying with a carpet cleaner, and trying to dab up the mess had we not had the vacuum. We also had some years-old stains on our carpet that the vacuum took care of. My toddler also had a stomach bug and threw up on our hardwood floors. To try and keep the virus from spreading, we used the sanitizing solution after cleaning up the vomit (used paper towels and not the vacuum for this) and felt a lot better about the floors being sanitized. One of the best features is the drying tray because you can store the filter and the brush to easily dry. If you have pets and/or kids, this vacuum is a MUST HAVE in your home!!
