The first time I used the fryer it smoked up the kitchen as if something was burning. And I did do the "prepheat" before using it to get the protective film off. I do have another air fryer that has the basket and that does not smoke at all. Will try to something else at a later time but right now not that impressed.

I received the Power XL in short order and was excited to try it out. I did the preliminary break in. I loaded the two crisper baskets with chicken tenders and the last one with frozen fries. I set the temp at 400 and the timer at 20 minutes as that is the lowest setting. I preheated the oven for 5 minutes then inserted the food. After the timer went off, the fries were soggy and the chicken hadn't browned so back in the oven for about 15 minutes and the results were the same. Soggy fries and uncooked chicken. I boxed the thing back up and returned it to Sams. I didn't try any other features as I felt if it can't air fry fries or chicken tenders then it was a dud and had to be returned.

This is the biggest piece of junk you could buy. Smokes like crazy and leaks grease from the bottom when the dip pan is empty. It takes three times longer to cook than a regular air fryer. I bought this because my regular Power XL air fryer needed replacement and expected this to be an upgrade. What a piece of junk, buyer beware.

works like a charm

Worked great for a couple of months, then just like someone pulled the right electronic part and it simply failed to work. It was on our counter top and we took good care of it. But, unfortunately we were busy with other things and did not return it. Do not recommend buying.

But this thing to replace my Cuisinart that broke prematurely. Annoyed with Cuisinart for falling apart so fast because that machine cooked amazingly. This machine and all the promises of greatness. Is that it cooks slow as heck. The kids are mad at it because just a toast a waffle are bagel in the morning can take over 10 minutes when the Cuisinart was done in two minutes. No I’m actually annoyed at both machines and I may try the ninja next. Very disappointed I would return but I already threw out the box.

So disappointed in this product. Please do not buy it! Every time I use the air fryer it somkes up the entire house causing my smoke alarms to go off. I’ve researched and tried everything recommended to no avail….it still smokes BAD! It will be going out to the trash this week.

After cooking chicken wings and my house filling with smoke I did some googling to see if I was doing something wrong and I found several reviews with the same issue and a video showing that this air fryer actually runs 100 degrees hotter than it’s suppose to. This is complete garbage and I’m returning it and looking in to a better option

I bought this air frier, used it all the time and love it. Less than a year after getting it I noticed it was taking longer to cook thing and then day it didn’t seem to have enough power to make toast. I found one review online that said they had the same thing…it doesn’t continue to upreform the same for more than 7-8 months. I’m disappointed and will not be buying any other products from power XL. Customer service was no help either.

We have another air fryer and bought this because of the size so we could cook more at a time. This thing is more of a toaster oven with a convection fan. Takes much longer to cook (even with same amount of food)and food doesn’t get nearly as crispy like an air fryer should.
