Purchased because it was cheap for all the functions it came with. The smoke ended up being unbearable and would often make you not even want to cook in it. Took way too long to airfry. Also it stopped getting hot at all and was blowing cool air. Thank God I purchased the 2 year warranty because it died shortly after the 90 days which it was guaranteed money back. Only thing with warranty they try to replace it for a new one so fight for your money back this sucks didn't want it again.

WOW, bought competitors product and tried it. Set at 400 it barely made 300 using IR thermometer. Took it back and went to Sam's Club and settled on the Power XL air fryer/grill. Set point 350, actual 347. We have air fried bruschetta several times the past few days (the unit is outside on patio, under cover) and with the wind blowing, no issues! I'd give this unit a strong 5 stars!

Unfortunate impulse purchase at Sam’s. The features listed on the box sounded perfect. But, returned both immediately. First one’s door would not seal on one side. Second one couldn’t even make toast. The oven’s toast/waffle setting is strangely one and the same. After 12 minutes at 400° only the top of bread slice browned, but the entire bread was dried out like a crouton. The heating elements never turned any shade of red hot. The oven exterior was too hot to touch, and it put off as much heat as a small space heater. My intent was to have one do-it-all appliance, and to reduce the heat in the kitchen with a small oven. The 4 star ratings for this product do not add up with so many poor reviews.

I was hesitant after reading all the negative reviews about the unit smoking, my thought is, did any of you even read the manual? If you cook anything that could drip it states to put the baking pan underneath so it doesn't drip on the heating element, I do this and have ZERO smoking, and yes the unit gets hot... hmm because it's cooking and even states (yet again) in the manual that it gets hot and its normal, and for kickers it even says it on the glass door! This unit is a great addition and is quite handy and it dosnt use a ton of counter space. It also seems to be quieter than my other air fryer. The only thing I do agree on with the complainers is that there is no grip on the knobs to make turning them super easy. I do recommend this item and got at a good price compared to other stores.

Bought this less than 1 year ago. Timer knob has progressively gotten harder to turn. Does not accurately time anymore. Toast function basically no longer works. Warranty is useless as after 60 days returning the unit requires the consumer to ship the unit back to the company TriStar products at my expense. No way I am spending $50 or more to send this piece of junk back to TriStar. Terrible purchase on my part. I should have read the warranty after opening the box and sealed it back up and returned to Sam's Club.

This could be alot better,starting off,when you cook hamburgers on the grill,it smokes the house up even using the air fryer so be warned. The timer if its not 20 or 40 you have to guess how much time you are cooking for because there is not lines to tell you just numbers every twenty minutes, I end up using my stove timer ,Same with the temperature if you have to cook something at 375 you have to guess that you have it right as the temp are only every 50 degrees. For the price I would think the controls would be better

We bought this because it was so roomy and I could air fry several items at once (we LOVE our other air fryer). Wrong. This oven does not air fry. It's just an oven that blows a little air. It takes forever to cook something on the "air fry" setting. And the knobs are very hard to turn; impossible if your hands are a little wet. No ridges to help you turn. Just a round, slick hard'to-turn knob. It's fine as a toaster oven but not worth the price and don't plan on air frying with it.

We used it EVERY DAY! But it burnt out in 3 months as well. Just STOPPED! Kept everything clean. The bottom drip tray is scary as it’s so exposed and gets all rusty and crusty no matter how I cleaned it. Loved it so much! Barely turned in oven and the. NOTHING. Called company and a huge hassle to deal with replacing it but I’ll still try. Such a bummer :(

I initially loved the versatility of this appliance, but after 2.5 years it stopped heating properly. Would only get up to 250 degrees max. I would consider my usage moderate. I contacted customer support to see if they could suggest a repair (I'm thinking thermostat), and was told no. However, they sent a discount code if I want to purchase another one. Not likely. I feel the PowerXL should certainly last more than 2.5 years, especially with my usage. Based on other on-line reviews, I'm not alone. Very disappointing.

Been cooking 4 years with the reg air fryer. Spary some virgin olive oil or stuff similar over fries and things of this nature. When i cook meats that are covered in flour spray both sides. Guarantee its, or it always has for me. I eat nothing floating in oil.
