I would give this 0 stars if I could. The toast cycle never really worked all that great buy if you put it on broil it was fine. A month after that it stopped working. Nothing works at all and you only get 30 days to return it. I am so disappointed I have their big airfryer but my toaster oven died and I thought this would be a great replacement.

This is one of the worst purchases I have ever made. The first time I used the fryer grill white smoke came explosively billowing out (chicken thighs). It continues to emit rancid smelling smoke each and every time I use it no matter what the food item is. It is difficult and time consuming to clean and must be cleaned between each use due to the food splatters it creates which if left in place would only add to more smoke and stench with the next use. The fryer becomes extremely hot during use and drips residue from the air-vents located underneath the bottom of the fryer deck as well. I wouldn't recommend this air fryer grill to anyone. I would take it back in a heart beat if I could.

I got this air fryer to replace my other one that died out after about 2 years of non stop use... this air fryer has disappointed me, it fills up with smoke from the drippings when using the dripping tray and the food isn't even done cooking, very frustrating. I wish I could return but it's too late for that.

Have used it for 4 months and it irritated me every single time I used it. I cannot believe I bought this poorly designed unit. I wanted something bigger for air frying, and was so convinced this would be great that I gave away my original air fryer that still worked fine, just wasn't big enough. This is so clunky, especially for toast. Always had to turn the knob past 20 minutes and then back, and those knobs are really hard to operate with senior citizen hands! Yesterday I tried to make toast for breakfast and waited and waited. This morning, I again attempted to toast an English muffin when I realized it was barely heating at all. A quick test of its functions tells me that it no longer is effectively heating. This will go in the garbage and I am leaving this review in the hopes no one else gets taken in by this. Sam's Club should take this entirely out of its stock.

I initially loved the versatility of this appliance, but after 2.5 years it stopped heating properly. Would only get up to 250 degrees max. I would consider my usage moderate. I contacted customer support to see if they could suggest a repair (I'm thinking thermostat), and was told no. However, they sent a discount code if I want to purchase another one. Not likely. I feel the PowerXL should certainly last more than 2.5 years, especially with my usage. Based on other on-line reviews, I'm not alone. Very disappointing.

We bought this because it was so roomy and I could air fry several items at once (we LOVE our other air fryer). Wrong. This oven does not air fry. It's just an oven that blows a little air. It takes forever to cook something on the "air fry" setting. And the knobs are very hard to turn; impossible if your hands are a little wet. No ridges to help you turn. Just a round, slick hard'to-turn knob. It's fine as a toaster oven but not worth the price and don't plan on air frying with it.

Bought this less than 1 year ago. Timer knob has progressively gotten harder to turn. Does not accurately time anymore. Toast function basically no longer works. Warranty is useless as after 60 days returning the unit requires the consumer to ship the unit back to the company TriStar products at my expense. No way I am spending $50 or more to send this piece of junk back to TriStar. Terrible purchase on my part. I should have read the warranty after opening the box and sealed it back up and returned to Sam's Club.

I think nearly all of the 5 star reviews are from the manufacturer. Knobs are nearly impossible to turn you have to have nails and then if your hands are wet it’s nearly impossible. I don’t think the timer actually works. I tried cooking chicken drumsticks and smoke was everywhere. You are better off just using a regular oven with the convection on.

Been cooking 4 years with the reg air fryer. Spary some virgin olive oil or stuff similar over fries and things of this nature. When i cook meats that are covered in flour spray both sides. Guarantee its, or it always has for me. I eat nothing floating in oil.

Back in January of 2021. I bought the power XL. just recently it started not working. So I called the company. they told me to email them the receipt of the product. Where I bought it from. and that's what I did. They email me back. telling me that I need to pay for shipping and handling. and send the product back to them 5 months after buying it. Let alone putting out over $100.00 for something. Then you going to tell me. I have to pay for shipping. is definitely not a company anyone should Deal with. I have had other situations with other products of something either breaking or not working in the past years with other companys and never had that issue. I'll never buy another product that has to do with Power XL. If they can't make it easy on the consumer. I'll go eslewhere.
