-Timer knob : mechanism is too stiff, the knob itself is hard to use because it is too flat to the panel to allow good purchase, & is slick (isn't really knurled / texturized at all). Also, the timer markings are useless : the first timer setting is 20", and the numbers are so close together is really guesswork. -Impossible to clean : the trays can go in dw, but the inside is not only a bear to clean, but also accumulates that yellow -brown, sticky-but-hard, cooked-on oil residue much to readily and rapidly. I have used this oven for less than a week and just plain give up! The bottom tray is so caramelized with unremovable yellow hard grease that it's actually shattered & chipped in spots! I tried using less spray oil (100% pure avocado oil, no additives at all). -Takes FOREVER. Comparable to using (my gas) convection oven. -When air-frying: turning / shaking isn't convenient. The trays cannot be pulled 1/2, or even 1/3 of the way out (have to take the tray all the way out). -Also, the opening is too small to allow for safe use of (my) potholders, and the perimeter of that oven gets HOT! - The variety of "cook modes" is ridiculous. Too many choices ; it doesn't seem like they vary that much from one another. -This thing gets HOT: too hot to safely put against an untiled wall or under a wood cabinet, imo. -I bought one for my daughter ; taking that back too. It's just not well-designed. There has to be something better available.

After reviewing all the top name-brand air fryer’s and looking at the majority of the complaints to see why customers gave the other brands less than three stars, I decided to try the power XL it had a lot of positive reviews and a awesome price compared to the other brands I Love this power XL, it’s a multi cooker, it replace both my huge air fryer and toaster oven on my countertop. In the power XL I have air fried fish, french fries and cut up potatoes all cooked perfectly. I Baked bacon wrap chicken; we grilled beef and chicken burger tasted better then the outside barbecue, they had beautiful grill marks. Love how you can Air fry and grill at the same time. My husband eats toast most morning and loves how well it toaster.

I purchased this toaster over 6 months ago and it died last evening. I am very disappointed . It wouldn't heat or cook and blew cold air. Definitely wouldn't recommend this product and will try to get my money back. Wish I could've given it a big fat 0. Do not buy.

Worked great for 14 months, then top heaters stopped working. Until then, this was a great work horse. We toasted, air fried, grilled and baked all sorts of things. Made great fries. The grill actually made chicken and burgers as good as on out gas grill. It would've been more easier to use with digital controls, but for the price, it was ok. We got this on sale March 2022 and it died in June 2023. No warranty, so replacing with different, and, hopefully, better combo air fryer. We got our $100 out of it but do not recommend.

I bought this a week ago. After reading the reviews. What a disappointment. First time I used it I placed the tray on the position suggested, darn thing burnt through. The timing button is so stiff without any groves for grip, that makes it near impossible to turn on or Off. I would definitely not suggest this as a good purchase. I would have returned, however the recycle truck was arriving and I needed to get the packaging out. Bad move now I’m stuck with this piece of junk.

I purchased the unit in April and it was amazing. I loved it! UNTIL it stopped working properly. It seems the heat elements may have lost its luster way too fast and won't produce as it did when I first bought it. It takes almost 60 minutes on the dial to barely heat up a simple bagel and that is not even with a nice crunchy toast as it advertises. It will no longer air fry. Now whatever I put to air fry, grill, toast, bake... it just just makes the food soggy and warm. So disappointed. Great idea, but not so great product.

WOW, bought competitors product and tried it. Set at 400 it barely made 300 using IR thermometer. Took it back and went to Sam's Club and settled on the Power XL air fryer/grill. Set point 350, actual 347. We have air fried bruschetta several times the past few days (the unit is outside on patio, under cover) and with the wind blowing, no issues! I'd give this unit a strong 5 stars!

Have had for about a year and doesn’t heat up as it did new. Toast took less than 5 minutes new, now 15+. Good idea, just doesn’t have the quality and reliability I look for. I had a $25 toaster oven for 5+ years and thought this being an air fryer, would be good for family with busy schedule. That is not the case. Im looking for a replacement.

The toasting function worked great, for about three weeks. In fact, it was such a sudden drop in toasting performance, I assumed it had a problem. I trashed it and bought another. After about three weeks, it also stopped toasting. I assume it is a problem with the design. I will not be buying another PowerXL product.

I bought this after New Year and I'm disappointed. I like the features, but there are several not good aspects. The exterior gets extremely hot. The top gets hot, the front glass gets hot, the bottom of it gets hot. Yes, I follow directions and move it away from cabinets, but there is enough heat, I'm concerned about damaging my old style countertop so I put a pan under it to act as a heat sink. Once you use it for a while, the interior becomes a baked on oil mess. I tried the baking soda cleanup, and it worked somewhat. The worst part is the fan area, there is no way to clean that. They don't show you that in the infomercial. When it comes to cooking, the temperature setting seems to be only a suggestion. I used an oven thermometer to check it and it was +/- 50 degrees of the setting. When grilling, it smokes a lot. One of my smoke alarms went off. I will continue to work with it and use it, but I would never leave this appliance unattended.
