Not off to a good start, everything was fine until I started the generator, started first pull but after turning off the choke it runs erratic. RPM’s go up and down all through break in period of an hour. Called support, said they will call me back lets see how this goes. Will update when I here back their solution.

We previously owned 3 generators, a Gentron 10,000, a Honda eu3000i, and Honda eu2000. This Wgen 5300c took the place of three and now we only have to maintain 1 power plant, it rins the entire house, the rv, and takes up very little space!!! Thank you Sooo much!

Super easy to set up and started up immediately. Novices level reasonable as I did not expect it to be as quiet as an inverter generator. Love the large fuel tank and 14+ hour run time. Using this as a home back up generator for our lovely PG&E power safety shutoff days as our area is high fire risk. Only thing keep this from 5 stars is the generator had damage on the recoil where it looked like something hit it. I was able to pry out the bent cover that was hitting on the recoil to where the unit is usable. Westinghouse is working on an open case to send a new one. very happy with purchase and being able to plug this right into our power transfer meter. No more extension cords!

After using this product, I am convinced that I made the correct decision based off extent research and product review. If you are reading this, I would advise you to take the time to research your needs or wants and make a purchase. I am a proud owner of a Westinghouse 5300CV generator. We just received our new WGen5300v. Everything seems to run well. I will know more when the power goes out for a day or more. We bought it for the price and the hours it says it will run ( 13.5) without having to refill every 3 hours like our old one. I gave 4 stars since we have not used it for a long period of time as of yet.

Received generator in a timely matter. Unpack and all parts and manuals were there. Installed wheels and feet per installations. Filled generator with oil and gas per instructions. Connected battery, choked and try to start. Would not not start with electric starter. Assume battery was dead. Used pull cord and started on first pull. Will read instructions on charging battery. One thing I noticed, draining oil could be a little messy. Need to add an extension tube to oil drain plug/hole. It seem to be made very well and should last a while with maintenance. Great product.

Bought this unit home last night, easy to put together, I tad heavy getting it out of the box. So far started right up using both the electric start and plug cord. As of right now playing with this unit I can only think of two possible product improvements. (one ) is there is nothing in either the starting procedure or power management that tells you to insure that the Main Circuit Breaker is on ( #3 of Control Panel ) (two) I would have liked to have a protective sleeve on battery connector (not terminal ) in my case there is a small gap and I'm concerned it could be a source of contamination (so I wrapped a piece of electrical tape around it) Everything else good Happy so Far

ALL THE SWITCHES AND GAUGES ARE EASY TO SEE AND READ. THIS GENERATOR IS EASY TO MOVE AROUND AND STORES IN A SMALL CORNER OF THE GARAGE. AFTER FILLING WITH GAS AND OIL ONE PULL ON THE CORD AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. I BELIEVE I MADE THE BEST PURCHASE FOR OUR HOUSE WHEN AND IF WE LOSE POWER.

Great products i have bought my big dual fuel and it works great so i purchased a small portable gas powered generator and again it worked great very easy start. So i was so impressed that i bought a medium sized dual fuel generator and no surprise it works great on propane and gas. Great well known company and has been around for many years, I strongly recommend these generators to anyone who is looking for a great product. Also they have electric push and pull and best of all the medium and large generators come with REMOTE START so yeah great product highly recommended

I bought this generator to supply power at home for the occasional outage. Large refrigerator freezer, small refrigerator, microwave, internet for phone, and lights. As someone that has worked with machinery and engines most of my adult life, I appreciated the quality, sturdy construction, and fit and finish of this product. I have read the instructions (well written), added the oil and gasoline and proceeded to begin the break-in period. Easy start and runs strong. I have confidence this will meet my future needs
