Think unit was dropped. Frame bent and could not fold out the towing handle for moving it around. Had to unbolt it then put it back. Also air cleaner body had crack in it. Put gas in and it leaked all over the unit. The gas line hose had a hole in it where it connects to the sediment cup/shut off. Was able to clip the hose past the hole and reinstall. Too much trouble to return so will use as is. Other than the above it seem to run fine and started right up.

This gen is great! It’s built so well well fit and finish are great! Comes with extra tools and a full maintenance manual. This unit also has easy to read instructions and user friendly controls. Full protective cage and beefy handle. So happy with this purchase

Had it shipped to the house. It was mostly together and assembly was easy. Started right up after 2 pulls. Plugged a bunch of equipment in the multiple outlets while running it for the break in period. Handled them without a hiccup. Love the digital read out. Solid all the way around.

I purchased this for emergency use. After looking at several different brands, models and prices, I decided to buy this one. I am happy that all I needed to assemble the legs and wheels. I find this to be very well constructed. For my trial run I started the generator up (easily), plugged in a 50ft. extension cord, plugged in my table saw and drill press, RAN GREAT! I am pleased. I bought this generator for home backup power and am very impressed with the quality. The generator arrived promptly and in good shape. Assembly is a breeze and the oil needed comes with the generator. The oil funnel included makes adding oil easy and mess free. After assembly I started it, which only took one pull on the cord. After following the break-in instructions, I load tested my generator and everything works as it should. The data center display is very clear and helpful, especially for the maintenance reminders. I also appreciate the manual being well made, with good information clearly laid out. Anyone who's dealt with poorly written or vague manuals will know how wonderful a good manual is. This generator has the quality you would expect from Westinghouse and I expect to have this product for many years to come.

After a recent power outage that cost me some items from the refrigerator I decided it was time to invest in a generator. After asking friends and co-workers about features to look for and reading reviews on brands and generator types I decided to go with Westinghouse. I felt the WGen5300v was the best value for my needs and budget. It came with a wheel kit, a nearly 5 gal. (4.7) gas tank, easy to follow instructions and is easy to start. I have not needed it for an emergency yet but have no doubts it will provide more than enough power. An added bonus was that the engine (for its size) was not extremely loud.

I ordered a generator and it was supposed to come in may 5 but it arrived 4 days earlier! When I was looking at the instructions it was easy to read. It also comes with very informational Guides that tell you all about the generator and how to maintain it. Overall very happy with my purchase!

I bought this after recent power outages. The old generator had a pull cord only and I was not able to use it. I had to rely on neighbors and family to start it. With this new generator and the electric start, I'll be able to take care of things myself.

After 2 hurricanes in less than a month, I felt I needed reliable backup power. This was a snap to setup. The pushbutton with remote is a great feature. Started first time and every time since. Great generator to keep the lights on and the refrigerator/freezers cold. I feel a lot better about facing future storms. Great job Westinghouse!

Purchased the WGen5300 for this coming winter. The set-up/instructions were easy. Once all oiled and fueled, it took one push of the button for it to start. Simple instructions to pair the remote to the generator. “Looking forward” to use it when the power goes out.
