Easy and immediate start, great value for the price. Only reason I did not leave 5 stars is due to poor packaging. I had to return my first unit due to shipping damage. My second unit arrived dented; however I kept it because there was no mechanical damage.

We live in the county and if there is a power outage we are not the first the power company worries about. I want to be able to start my generators quickly. This one is s nice and its not as loud as my old one. We are now set, just hope we don't have a hurricane this year. The freeze was bad enough.

I bought this generator a few days ago. Came in quickly. Waiting on my electrician to wire up the side of the house to make it easy on my wife. This unit is electric start and will make my life easier when the power goes out. I work an hour away from home so having an electric start is great so my wife can get it going to power up the house

My daughter and son-in-law were telling me how pleased they were with their recently purchased 5300SC generator. With the start of hurricane season here, I thought it was a good idea to have one of my own. As I am 96 years young, the electric start feature will definitely come in handy! I did a lot of comparisons on various generators and found that this was a good combination of features and price. The electric start allows for easy starting. And the 5300W provides enough for the critical appliances during a power outage. The addition of a short adapter from the 30A TT30-R outlet to a 5-15R allows for using the full wattage capability of the generator on 'standard' 5-15P plugs.

Just received it yesterday. Easy assembly with good user manual. After putting in oil and gas it started up and provided output. So it is ready for our next power outage which happens very frequently whenever we have a strong wind which blowes down trees or branches.

This replaced a 20 year old 5k watt portable generator that finally gave up the ghost. Even though this has more power than my old generator, it's smaller which is nice when it comes to storage. Used this for a few hours on day one when power company replaced a pole down the street. Love the electric start and the fact that this generator runs much quieter than my old 10hp Tecumseh. Engine ran smooth and power was plentiful. Very happy with purchase. (4/5 rating because nothing's a 5!)

Haven't had an opportunity or need to really use this yet but first impression is excellent. Well designed, has every type of outlet I can imagine ever needing anywhere, has 240 volt capability and L14 outlet for use with home transfer switch, and electric start..I Love the electric start.

I bought this in the summer for this winter to assure that my animals and children including a baby would be kept warm and safe this winter when we loose power. We were extremely disappointed when we discovered that within a minute or less of being started it shuts off. Neighbors tried to help but to no avail, even someone who is good with small engine repairs tried to get it started. They suspect there may be an issue with the carburetor. This is brand new and with all the great reviews we are disappointed to be sitting here without power.

I bought this generator to use with our camper. It was easy to set up and is lighter and much quitter than our other generator. The electric start is quick and powerful. The generator fires right up without any hesitation. It puts out the same power as the generator I use at home during power outages so I know it will power everything I need it to when the power goes out.
