This generator is compact and easily portable-the wheels really help. Started on first try and is significantly quieter than others I have owned. Works like a charm and I am quite impressed with the added features (fuel gauge, auto shutoff, etc.). I highly recommend!

I purchased the WGen5300v after looking over the reviews and was impressed on how they were written. I put the wheels and the rubber feet on the unit filled with oil and it’s ready to go.I will run it through a few short test runs to break it in and have it ready for the dreaded loss of power here in the North East. Overall the Unit was delivered by UPS with out any issues the UPS delivery man placed it on aha d truck and put it in the garage without any damage. I am very pleased.

After hours of research and reading too many reviews to count, I decided on the WGen5300S as the perfect addition to my disaster prep. This generator has a better fuel/hour ratio than most other brands. It also includes great features that others don't such as the 120/240 selector, both transfer switch and RV hookups and the digital display. All this for just a bit more than other brands. I feel really good about the next power outage, but must say that I hope I don't need it. Well done Westinghouse!

I just bought this to keep one room comfortable with AC if power outage from a hurricane happens. It is very nice and alot of features. I am a 62 yr old woman and love that it has a push button start. I live in Florida and the heat is unbearable during summer months. I have lost power in the past and l lost all food in refrigerator. Trying to be prepared for any outages in future.

Bought this generator knowing it weighed 148#, was hoping I would be able to move it where needed when the time comes. Widow lady with a bad back and this thing is so well balanced that it is no problem at all. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet, hopefully never will, but glad I have it after the last outage. I bought this generator to rapid charge my solar system batteries in the unlikely event that the grid is down, there is no sun and my battery bank is depleted. I specifically appreciate the power output (just over 5kW), the electric start and the reasonable noise level. After unboxing and loading oil and gas, the generator fired right up with no issues. The design is very clean, full featured and reasonably portable with large wheels. If you don’t need an inverter generator, I’d highly recommend this one. I also own a Westinghouse inverter generator that we take camping and have been very happy with that unit for several years now.

I just received this generator two days ago and today I assembled it, added oil and gas and tested it. It looks well made and ran good. The one disappointment was that one of the locking clips on the air filter assembly #50030057 will not latch. It was like that when I took it out of the box. How did QC miss that ? Cal

So far, it has started on the first pull every time. It is also much quieter than our old one. The pull up handle and wheels are very handy for moving it around and saves the hernia of lugging it. We haven't pulled a lot of power with it so far other than running an air compressor, but it doesn't seem to miss a beat when the compressor kicks on. I'm very pleased with our purchase!

Bought in March and so glad we did. Where we live power goes out frequently, summer or winter. With this baby we don't have to worry about food going bad in fridge or freezer and can even run a window ac unit in those hot summer days! Plus the wife loves the electric start. easy peasy!!

After 2 hurricanes in less than a month, I felt I needed reliable backup power. This was a snap to setup. The pushbutton with remote is a great feature. Started first time and every time since. Great generator to keep the lights on and the refrigerator/freezers cold. I feel a lot better about facing future storms. Great job Westinghouse!
