I heated the bag in the microwave. first piece of "meat" i touched was all fat, a big chunk larger than a golf ball. nicely browned, but all fat. the meat was mostly large chunks about 1.5 to 2 inches that needed to be shredded. While shredding, i pulled out about a cup of fat. Not great. Some people might be ok with that. But i'm not the guy who eats a whole steak including all of the fat. Might try another pack since what was left did taste good. not sure yet.

The pork carnitas are really delicious! They're easy to prepare and have so many different uses. Please continue to sell them - I notice the package said "limited time offering". I think many customers feel the same way about Sam's continuing to carry them. Please!

I bought this thinking strictly about Mexican food, but after eating them, I've decided they're a multipurpose ingredient. I've had Mexican food now, next I'm going to use it to make vegetable soup and after that stroganoff. I'm excited and definitely recommend it and let your imagination run wild.

I rarely write reviews, but was compelled to do so for this product. So pleased! The pork was tender, yet juicy and perfectly seasoned. Loved it! I served it with lime-cilantro rice and black beans. Will purchase again I hope Sam’s continues this product.

I froze the package when I got it home. Freezes well. Thawed it in the fridge. Put some on a cookie sheet and popped it in a cold oven and turned on the broiler. Cooked it for 7ish minutes. Fantastic. I could eat the nuggets just out of a bowl. Pull them apart a bit and make some tacos. In the time it takes to cook the meat, you can whip up some fresh sauces and chop toppings. Or dont. They are good just right on a warm tortilla w/ a little crema

We love this! Packed with flavor! I've used it in enchiladas, burritos, and by itself with a side of potatoes. But our *favorite* way to serve these carnitas is over rice. I fry up a large onion, add a cup of beef broth with a little corn starch to thicken it and the carnitas. Scoop it over cooked jasmine rice (or any rice, but jasmine is my fav). MMMMmmmmm! So good!

These are great; heat & eat carnitas. Was expecting to need to pick out some fatty peices & now after 2 packs have only needed to pick out 2 small bits. The meat is easily shredded & well seasoned (but we do add our own as well). Pairs really well with some pineapple & onions for an El pastor flavor.

This i really a great deal! The local Hispanic grocery store charges about $15/pound for the same thing. This is half the price and just as flavorful and tender! Fully cooked. Just heat and serve. As another reviewer commented there is a lot when shredded. I agree. Of course to shred use 2 forks. I find that heating enough for 1 or 2 people works well using the microwave. Just remove a few chunks of meat from the package and heat for about 1 minute on a plate. 1100 watt microwave I like to use the Member's Mark Fresh Cilantro Salsa with this, item # 633467. Also in the deli section along with heated up corn tortillas.

They need to keep this one around. I pulled it apart and heated in the skillet. It's mild enough you could add any seasoning, and it's really tender and tastes homemade. I would buy this on the regular if they keep it. 4 of us had 2 tacos each and there's still leftovers. Shred it and you won't believe how much meat you end up with
