I didn't care for the pastel icing colors they did this year. White is must classier and more appetizing.

This cake was very fresh and tasty. Only wish it had more coconut on the middle of the layers. Have yo purchase on the date it was made.

I love this coconut cake so much. I look forward to Spring every year to get one because the Sam's bakery only has this around Easter time.

This is my favorite cake! I count the minutes until they have it again in March. It's gone after Easter. I am sad when it leaves

I have been looking for coconut cake from local bakeries to avoid having to pay those ridiculous prices from Gold Belly. I really thought I might’ve found the one and was looking forward to trying it based on past reviews. A couple of people even stopped us to ask if it’s any good and I would hate to think that having in my cart might have encouraged them to get it. The cake is moist but heavier than what I expected. I was hoping to taste that creamy coconut flavor which I did not get, and the icing is way too sweet. I couldn’t even finish a thin slice I got for myself. I tasted mostly sugar which was disappointing. My son tried one bite and that was it for him. Well, the price was right so I just hope that some people at work might enjoy it, but definitely not for me.

Sad imitation of what it used to be. I used to love this cake. They’ve destroyed this cake to cut corners. The icing is so thin and they replaced the white coconut icing inside the cake with the thinnest layer of some kind of goo. The cake used to be really tall and now the layers are really thin and the cake has shrunk considerably. It’s moist but tastes like chemicals now. The weight has changed drastically too. Why do these companies do this? This cake used to be incredible and now it’s chemicals disguised as cake.
