I wish they had this cake all year round instead of just at Easter.  I don't know how they do it, but the cake is so moist and it stays moist.  We enjoyed ours for over a week and the last bite was as good as the first.  Just have to wait for next Easter now...

Label said 6 layers, was really three, but man it was one of the best cakes I've had in a long time.  Wasn't overpowering on the coconut flavor, fluffy, good frosting.  

Family loved it, it was huge and lasted us multiple days, and now I have to fight the urge to buy another one each time I'm in the store.

I love coconut so this was an easy choice, but it was more than just a coconut cake. It was incredibly delicious. The cake was light, moist and had great flavor. The icing was flavorful and not overly sweet. It was like an incredibly delicious vanilla cake with coconut on the outside.We loved it!!!! Even my grandkids who aren't big coconut fans loved it.

Excellent Cake!

This is the best coconut cake I have ever bought from a store. It was moist, plenty of coconut with a white buttercream frosting. I would definitely buy this cake again. It is enough for a large crown.  It also froze well and tasted just as good and fresh when thawed.

One of the best coconut cakes I've ever had! Perfect distribution of icing. Even freezes well if you need to divide it up. Keeps its moisture and taste.

I purchased this cake for a birthday celebration. The cake was moist and tasty. The size was more than enough for our gathering. However,  we all commented on the fact that it was being sold as a six layer cake. I guess they are counting the very thin amount of frosting between each cake layer as a layer. I thought it somewhat deceptive labeling. Overall it was a good cake.

The cake looks beautiful, the texture and flavor of the actual cake was moist and good but the cake part is not coconutty. The layers between I couldn’t tell if it was like a coconut cream or lemon. The icing had coconut on it but not much flavor to the icing. This cake has potential to be better. It is just lacking on good flavor. But looks beautiful.

Beautiful cake

Not at all like the ones they had a few years ago before they discontinued them. There was no filling between cakes, was a yellow cake not white, and frosting was also different. Used to buy them alot, will not buy another one now. I took to a get together & was so embarrassed when cut into cake & tasted it.

Fresh Coconut Cake

I have always enjoyed the samples of the coconut cake around Easter.  This year I purchased one and was extremely disappointed. The cake had a bitter taste and the imitation coconut flavoring was overwhelming.  There was very little coconut on the cake.  I don't know if the problem was our local bakery or if this was company-wide, but Sam's needs to do better.

Tag says 6 layers there are 3 . The frosting between the layers has been replaced with oil of something. The price has gone up to over $18.00. I won't buy it again.
