The wire that moves and attaches to the Edgeguard broke off and now the Edgeguard does not work. Seems like this Spreader should be taken off the shelf. I am going to switch to a higher quality spreader and a new fertilizer product.

Purchased this spreader and within 3-4 months it failed. With grass seed inside the interior can't spin with the weight of the seed on top or clogs up and can't spin. Very disappointing!

If you want a spreader for one time use then this is the one to buy. Not even halfway through my yard on the 2nd time using it the handle broke and I cannot spread fertilizer.

This is one of the greatest spreaders I have owned (and I owned a lot). I have not experienced the feed problems mentioned in the previous review, but time will tell if the product holds up.

I have been using mine for a while now and it does a nice job. Biggest problem is the Edgeguard starts to get gummed up with dust from fertilizer and lime and starts not moving all the way around. And if you push it it will break. My 4yr old just broke my cable trying to get it to go all the way around and do it's job. Now I have to find out where I can get parts to fix it.

I've had a Scottys speedy green spreader for at least 20 years if not more. It still works great. Just used it today. I do wash it of with a garden hose and make sure it is dry before I store it after each use. Outlasted 4 lawn mowers and 2 snow blowers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used other spreaders before this one and I often found that my socks would pick up the color from the Fertilizer. Once they turned orange. I borrowed this one from my neighbor and found that the edge guard kept the fertilizer from getting to me. If my socks were getting colored it must have been getting to my skin also which is not a good thing these days. The pneumatic tires also make it easier to push when full of product. I will be buying one of these Pro Edge Guard Spreaders this spring.

just broke on me after 3years 2 times per year use hard to found spare parts

One wheel became stuck after the first time I used this spreader. Online research shows that it's probably a broken pin inside the shaft assembly.

I bought this spreader and is the second season and the drive wheel fell off. Where can I get parts or is this under warranty?
