Replacement Parts unavailable

Great product until you need a part. Good luck finding one. Pro guard edge drive shaft bar rusted out unable to locate new one. Metal rooted out too quick. 2-3 years garage kept/ cleaned after each use

Piece of garbage

I have not had Scott's spreader that lasted more than a season or two second season for this “pro” unit and the edge guard stopped working and the impeller stopped working I now have a unusable piece of cr$p

Works Great, Crappy Tires and Tubes

This spreader has always been stored indoors, tires are cracked and the tubes both leak! Poor quality I would have expected better from Scotts. Especially bought it because of the rubber tires! Other than the tires it works great!

Spreader stopped working

I have used this spreader a few times and it just stopped working, it looks like it works but as soon as you put fertilizer in it no longer works. Something seems to be broken in the part that spins the fertilizer out.

Better than expected. Works just fine

I went ahead and bought this spreader and I have to say it works great. I had no issues with it at all. The rubber tires are really nice vs plastic wheels on lower end models

cheap materials

I purchased the pro spreader expecting it to be the better model, axle snapped at the wheel hub. The axle is made of very thin metal. i washed off the spreader each use / 3 times a year. 4-5 years old

Very disappointed

I used this spreader one time, to seed and fertilize my lawn. I ran out of fertilizer because the lever to shut off the output stopped working and it was coming out all the time. Very disappointed and would not buy again.

Scott's Pro Edgeguard Failure

Bought the Scott's Pro Edgeguard and the tires rotted off in less that two years even though it was garage kept. Don't waste the extra money for this one. Doesn't last.

Poor quality

After six months the cables seem to have come loose. The edge guard does not work any more and after use this spring the cable (I think) does not work so the product is unable to be spread from the hopper.

Did not last,

I had a Speedy green spreader for years but had to finally replace it and bought an Edgeguard pro. After only 2 years the drive housing in one of the wheels shredded and the wheel came off. I am unable to find the replacement part to fix it.
