I have never owned a generator because I thought they were so much work. I have lost power a couple of times in the past month and had no heat. I finally bought one and am glad I did. So easy to startup. It runs my pellet stove, my internet and much more. No more cold black nights for me!

We bought a pair of 1Gen2200 generators so we could use them individually with small loads and pair them up for larger loads. What a terrific idea! We're very pleased. These units are lightweight, whisper quiet, and easy to start. We couldn't ask for more.

I can't believe how easy this generator is to start. Right out of box it started on first pull and started every time since on first pull. Runs my grinders and shop equipment easily. Really like this nice quiet generator. Very happy with my purchase so far.

Installed the high altitude kit for our farm at 4000'. The unit came to life after following the instructions for the first start on the second pull. Was very surprised just how quite this unit really is. I also was surprised at the geared pull rope. It didn't take much effort at all. Especially with arthritic shoulders! Now in the middle of the break-in period, moving the power cord about the house-lol. This unit will run everything we need in our tiny home. I hope we never have to use it but its peace of mind knowing we have this generator for our backup energy needs. PS: found out after the purchase my nephew has an electric start Westinghouse gen for backup. Also, my brother is getting one for his new home. Both live in northern Maine.

I just received this Gen. Set up was very easy and straight forward. I added oil, gas and opened the vent. It fired right up. I let it warm up, tried efficiency mode and the RPM's dropped to a low idle. I plugged in a circular saw and gave it a shot. Its working very well so far. A nice little unit.

Like some of the other reviews, my brand new Igen 2200 will not start. I brought it to a Westinghouse service center and they couldn't fix it. The unit was sent back to Westinghouse for replacement. I received an Open Box Item which was clearly used and returned. However, I kept it because the unit works. It took several months to have the unit serviced, returned and replaced. Overall, it's not a pleasant experience.

We have our igen 2200 sitting waiting ready to go whenever natural disaster or Armageddon sets in. Buying this thing for me for Christmas. And it looks good sitting in my garage. I've only used it briefly. My thought was a gas shut off valve so the gas left in the carburetor doesn't come up in the future when natural disaster hits. However storing it empty would be a solution and additional preparation for gasoline necessary. Like I said it looks good in the garage.

I got this yesterday, added oil and gas, turned on, waited a minute or so(gas to carb), pulled once and it STARTED!!! Started a few more times yesterday and today-one pull-started. After reading the literature, I am disappointed that if we need warranty service, we have to get the unit to a warranty service location. Hopefully we won't need the service.

I purchased (2) iGen2200 generators and followed all the instructions. Both generators started on the first pull!! Very quiet and everything I expected. Our RV has a 8000btu air conditioner and when hooked up the generator doesnt even increase rpm's. Love these generators , they are everything I could expect!!! Looking forward to the bonus inverter covers...

Everything seems to look OK so far but I had one problem when I was adding the oil it look like a piece of the bottle came out into the oil funnel but I was able to stop pouring the oil and get the little piece of plastic out before I went into the generator I'll send a picture to show you what it is
