After comparing the most popular 2000 watt generators, I decided on the Westinghouse igen2200. Price, reliability, and ease of use all factored into my choice. I am following the 5 hour breakin procedure and everything is functioning perfectly. Once I filled with the provided oil and added the non-ethanol gas, it cranked on the 3rd pull of the cord. I also have started while still warm, and cranks right up. I was also pleased with how well everything was packaged. There were no dents or blemishes when I received it via UPS.

I bought two of these for 3600 watts of electricity and am pleasantly surprised at how many appliances I can use at one time in a power outage. Because newer appliances are so energy efficient we can run central heat (gas) blower, power electronic ignition on gas water heater, 27 cu. ft. refrigerator, 65" tv, cable modem and wifi router, lights (LEDs), fans, and even an 8,000 btu window unit in a summer outage to keep one room livable.

We purchased two of these to parallel together to run our AC and microwave in our horse trailer! They worked great, were very quiet and used very little gas. We ran them from 10:30 at night until 8:00 in the morning, with the AC on all night long and they never ran out of gas!

I bought this generator as a back-up to power my sump pump if power goes out. Out of the box, it started right up. The instructions were clear and this little generator is easy for me to manage on my own. It runs perfectly and it much more quiet than I thought it would be. Completely satisfied!

Ok folks with the fear of blackouts concerning PG&E you want to get a portable generator. Picked up the IGen2200 to keep my fridge running and some lighting. It was easy to set up and Wow! Is it quiet so with that being said Get Obe! You won't regret it.

Generator weighs only 50 pounds when filled with fuel and it starts easily. It is very easy to pick up and carry. It is also very quiet compared to other ones that I have had. Also I was pleased with the heavy duty packaging, and that it came with a funnel and tools. This compact generator will definitely be very handy to use when a power outage occurs.

Irecieved my IGen 2200 1 week ago today read instructions added provided oil and fresh non ethanol gas but could not get it to crank.Doubled checked oil level generator was on level concrete loosened vent cap checked spark plug and air filter . after letting unit rest multiple times I finally got it to crank but it would only run in start/choke position. no matter how long it ran if you moved off choke even a little bit it would die . this is without load and eco throttle off. Could not get help from support number and today makes 5 days since I called and recieved a case #.and a promise of a call back. Other observations I noticed were a loose main control knob and,metal fragments drained out from carburetor bowl from attached drain line when checking to see if gas was in the carburetor. Spark plug was poorly aligned with access port and was installed so tight from factory that supplied tool would not remove it. I have returned it and will try something different.

I will start by saying that this generator looks really cool, not like a machine. Second, it is quieter than I expected. Furthermore, it sounds smoothly, like a well oiled machine, no vibrations at all. I connected a space heater and it worked just fine. The only con I find is that is very heavy for standard size people, so moving it or placing it in the car might be difficult. Perhaps a couple of wheels like those in luggage would help. Overall I think it is good value for money.

Purchased a Westinghouse iGen2200 Portable Inverter Generator for periodic use while camping and at home. Upon receipt I found the generator to be well packaged and free from any shipping damage. In preparation for first time use I was happy to see the User Manual well written, organized, and detailed for transfer of knowledge on the product. First time start-up of the generator was simple requiring only one pull while unit was on choke setting. Each time of use thereafter the unit continues to start on the first pull. Purchased for use while camping its ease of transport weighing less than 50 lbs. and operating noise level has been very convenient. Aside from the top built-in carry handle allowing for easy movement it has provided a securing point for a cable lock. Additional liked qualities of the unit are its durable construction and fuel friendly setting. If looking for a portable generator, the Westinghouse iGen2200 is a great place to start for a reliable and trouble-free experience.
