I will start by saying that this generator looks really cool, not like a machine. Second, it is quieter than I expected. Furthermore, it sounds smoothly, like a well oiled machine, no vibrations at all. I connected a space heater and it worked just fine. The only con I find is that is very heavy for standard size people, so moving it or placing it in the car might be difficult. Perhaps a couple of wheels like those in luggage would help. Overall I think it is good value for money.

Purchased a Westinghouse iGen2200 Portable Inverter Generator for periodic use while camping and at home. Upon receipt I found the generator to be well packaged and free from any shipping damage. In preparation for first time use I was happy to see the User Manual well written, organized, and detailed for transfer of knowledge on the product. First time start-up of the generator was simple requiring only one pull while unit was on choke setting. Each time of use thereafter the unit continues to start on the first pull. Purchased for use while camping its ease of transport weighing less than 50 lbs. and operating noise level has been very convenient. Aside from the top built-in carry handle allowing for easy movement it has provided a securing point for a cable lock. Additional liked qualities of the unit are its durable construction and fuel friendly setting. If looking for a portable generator, the Westinghouse iGen2200 is a great place to start for a reliable and trouble-free experience.

One of the easiest things I have used recently. Everything you need to get going (Except gas) was in the box. Tools and Oil (exact amount - save the container for future use) was in the box....fill up with fuel...set to choke and pull the cord...only took two pulls.

Caveat: I have not run this unit yet. I received this recently and I am impressed by the clean design and portability of the unit. It's intended use is for running a sump pump during power outages, so I do not expect it to be used often. If it works well I that circumstance, I will upgrade to 5 stars.

I purchased the iGen2200 a month ago and it has worked like a champ! No more got it broken in than we lost power in two storms. Kept our refrigerator going and saved our food supply. Also gave us some heat during a couple of cold days with no power.

I bought this inverter generator for a backup to run refrigerator, laptop and few lightbulbs if blackout happens. After I opened a package, I was pleasantly surprised how light it is. I like the fact that it can be run in parallel if there is a need for more power. I did not rated a 5 star, only because it does not have the fuel gauge, although if I was willing to spend a little bit more for IGen2500, I would have this feature. Overall, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I just purchased this generator and haven't used it much. But it seems to work great. When I first opened the side cover to fill the oil, one of the push In Tabs broke. The cover should stay on without the one tab though The engine started first pull and runs smooth quiet and lite.

Bought two at the great Sam's Club price. One arrived damaged with parts loose on the inside. As asked for on the documents from Westinghouse, contact us don't return to seller. I contacted them and sent pictures. They wanted more pictures and asked that I find where the parts came from. That would require a full disassembly. But after a week they told me they would replace the whole unit. Then they didn't like my emailed Sam's receipt. I returned it to Sam's Club, Done in 10 min. Bought another and it is fine. Westinghouse approved one review with 5stars but would not post my 3 star review. Haha.

Received the package this past week, all in good shape. Performed the break in period today with a variety of of items with draws ranging from 60 to 800 watts. When in eco mode this generator was extremely quiet. I was impressed. By the way, it started on the second pull, not requiring too much effort.

First off, I would like to thank Samsclub for being extremely helpful in the return process. Unfortunately, this brand new generator is a dud. I followed the instructions, added oil, fresh gas (non-ethanol even), choke on, fuel vent on. I crank on the generator and it runs for a second. I crank it again and it doesn't even attempt to run. If I let it sit for a few minutes and try again, it may run for a second or two. Check for fuel in the carburetor bowl and all is good there. Finally, I came back to the reviews on this generator and in the last two weeks, a bunch of other people were having the same issue! Westinghouse put out a batch of bad generators. I called Westinghouse customer service and after being on hold for 10 minutes twice, I was hung up on, TWICE. Poor quality generator, poor customer service. FYI, this generator design is used in many other brands as it is outsourced from China. I'm upset to get rid of it, but it looks like i'll be paying to bucks to get a reputable HONDA generator.
