Generating a Lot of Love with this Product!

Great product which lasts a good amount of time on a full tank. Light weight (when empty) and portable, we use it for our outdoor adventures and never worry about not having power. Highly recommend this for any outdoor application and VERY reasonably priced.

Fantastic for the Price

Currently at 10 hours of operation, and this thing is an outperformer. Being an inverter generator, it's very quiet, never getting above 77 decibels on my NIOSH app from 20 feet away. At idle in Eco Mode, it is around 51 decibels from just 10 feet away. I have run it with loads varying from 100 watts all the way to its maximum rated of 1800 continuous and this generator doesn't miss a beat. It's quiet, smooth, starts within the first two pulls, and the fuel efficiency makes older standard generators blush. The best hidden features are that it comes with an oil funnel that threads into the dipstick hole so you don't have to spill oil while filling, and it comes with a premeasured oil bottle for break-in. Keep this bottle on hand so you can refill it and never spill a drop on your oil changes. During break-in, you should load the generator with various loads up to 900 watts for varying time periods to help the windings break in. While not required by Westinghouse, I elected to change the oil after 1 hour of initial runtime, and replaced it with 10W-30 conventional oil. I again elected to change the oil again at 2.5 hours, again with 10W-30 conventional. Once I hit the 5 hour full break-in mark, I did another oil change and went to 5W-30 synthetic, which is what Westinghouse recommends for the entire temperature operating range of the generator. I added an hour meter to the unit the day I received it so that I could more easily keep up with the time-based maintenance intervals, and for the $10 they cost, it is a no-brainer. This unit is highly recommended if you need a small generator to run a few items for a long period of time without going broke paying for fuel.

Very Quite and easy to operate.

Bought this generator to power our camper when camping at sites without power hookup. Was able to use the air conditioning in 90 degree weather during 4th of July weekend. The unit ran very well and started on the first pull every time. Looking forward to many more trips with reliable power.

Life Saver

I bought this a year ago to charge boat batteries. Worked great and ran very quiet, the neighbor's house 200 feet away never heard it. Then Hurricane Ian struck. I used it to power two large refrigerators , a coffee maker and charge countless phones with plenty of power left. It ran about 13 hours on one tank of gas. I ran it continuously for 5 days without any problems. It ran so well two of my guest for the week each bought one. I plan on buying another so I can run them in parallel and power more appliances.

Great generator!

I have only used this for about a week, but so far I love it. Very is to pull start. Usually starts on first pull. Quiet, easily to talk over noise from 10 feet away. Light enough to carry around with ease. Powers what I need for camping and back up for power outages.

Impressive amount of thought but into product

I've only had it for a few days but I'm impressed by the amount of thought that went into the product design and documentation. These days you're more likely to get an online link than a physical manual, and then the "manual" is something hastily thrown together by someone less than fluent in English. Westinghouse, in contrast, put a lot of effort into an actual physical manual. The diagrams and instructions are very easy to follow. It's clear they put a lot of thought into making the product as easy to use out of the box as possible. Not only did it come with a bottle of oil, but there's a funnel and a screwdriver for accessing the engine compartment. You could reasonably assume the purchaser of a portable generator had a Phillips head screwdriver, but in the event one wasn't handy they included one in the kit. I'm impressed too by the attention to little details. Like engine compartment screws that cant fall on the ground and get lost. Like an oil cap molded with a twist to make it easier to turn. I added oil and gas, switched the dial to choke, and it started up after a couple of pulls. Could not be easier. If I worked at Westinghouse (I don't), I would be proud to be associated with this product. If this is representative of the work Westinghouse does, I will be looking for their brand on products in the future.

Very User Friendly

I bought this igen2200 inverter from Home Depot on April 9th. I recieved it on April 16th. It was packed very good and very easy to start up. This is my 3rd generator, and I rate it very high for the price. I use in my RV for backup. It runs most everything except the air conditioner. Also it comes with a 3 year warrenty, and Westinghouse has parts for it. Be carefull with off brand models, as they have limited parts. I recomend using only Non Ethanol Fuel. (no corn) Al...

Don't Get Caught Without The Power You May Need

After reading many reviews and comparing many models, I believe I made the right decision with this unit. The price was significantly less than some and Walmart was able to deliver this unit faster than all the others, especially with the huge demand due to PG

Best deal in a small generator

I was going to purchase a Honda generator until I read a Consumer Report article comparing it to the Westinghouse iGen2200. The Westinghouse was rated the same for half the price. So far it has been a breeze to operate and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Camping plans!

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. We love to camp and the size and sound of this generator make use easy. After adding the oil, it took a half pull to start it right up. We look forward to the advantages this product will allow for short and long term camping trips as the weather warms up!
