After a prolonged power outage in Texas, I decided to purchase a 2nd Westinghouse. I have a iGen4500 which was more than enough to keep my heater, refrigerator, and a few other appliances running but after going for 4 days without power, I want to be sure to have a back-up and/or additional power in case it happens again. Plus the iGen2200 is smaller and more quiet so it offers additional opportunity for uses.

Was really looking forward to this generator. I figured the Westinghouse brand would provide a generator that exceeded my expectations however the unit would not start (blister on my middle finger to prove it). After 3 calls to support and doing everything that they recommended, I was left with "You will need to contact a service center after registration is complete". This is not an acceptable answer for a new unit out of the box. With the carburetor apart (one of their recommendations) I decided to coat it with carburetor cleaner. This rectified my problem and the unit started in two pulls. Not sure what the problem was but sure wish WH would have a better QA/QC process. I have run the unit every day since and it seems to be working as expected thus the 3 stars in lieu of the initial one. I'll revise my review once I am convinced that it was a fluke and continues to work as expected

We bought this iGen2200 a few months ago, used it one time and we're well pleased with the power and quite ness. Then last week we had an ice storm and this generator powered a small heater, small fridge and a large freezer over a 4 day period! Well worth the money!

It's quieter and lighter than I expected. It runs the a/c, mini fridge and microwave in my short bus that I use to travel to art and craft shows. The only negative I have is that an hour meter would have been nice to keep up maintenance. I ordered it on a Tues, it arrived on wed and I left for a show on Fri. The air feels great!!

Purchased this generator to use at the race track to charge batt for my racecar. It is not heavy at all and very portable. Started on the 1st pull. It is very quiet. Charged my 48v golf cart and 16v car batt at the same time No problem. Very impressed and I recommend this to anyone looking for a portable generator.

This engine starts with the first pull. Amazing... It will run everything I have except for my mid-size air compressor but I wasn't expecting it would. We bought it to run an oxygen machine should the power go out. This will work perfectly for that; running 12 hours on a gallon of gas. Five gallons of gas should get us through most every power outage. Perfect! It runs our hotplates and small heaters but not all at the same time. I see us using this generator a lot! Portable and ready to go. We live at 6,400 feet. It runs at full power up here.

I have an acre and a half and this will be great to do those power washing fences, etc., chores with this lightweight generator. This generator only has one great flaw that I can see. The Oil filling chamber is protected by a door that has to be taken off by a screwdriver. The other being actually filling the oil! Way too much of an angle!!

I have commented once on these generators gen number 1, and my opinion has not changed on what a quality generator this is. So quiet and smooth running. I own a large trailer and didn't want to overload just 1, so I bought number 2 and a parallel cord. Now I have no worries about what my family needs power while camping etc. A great purchase. This is the first generator I ever bought. I've used them quite a bit at work. I got it to mostly power My food in the two fridges in the freezer we have in case we have power outages since there's a lot of money in there I. did some research online combined with the owners manual and decided to do a 5 hour break in. I saw some guys recommending that they just left it idling for 1 to 5 hours but just like my car and from some other recommendations I decided to vary the speeds. Actually the owners manual says to do that also. I kept it under 900 w. I wasn't sure how to do that so I went and got one of those plug-in watt meters which was really nice. The blow dryer and a heat gun work perfectly. I varied between all the hi/low cool/warm/hot settings and was able to get it to go from about 100 w all the way to about just under 900 w. I'd run anywhere from about a minute to five minutes or so under load and then idle it for 10-15 minutes or so And let it cool down. I used high-octane 93 gas. With some fuel stabilizer in case it sits there for a little while. After the break in I also added some oil additive to my full synthetic 5W-30. One thing I wanted to do but forgot was use conventional 10W-30 for the break in. But I accidentally used my full synthetic for the first two hours.. I also bought a magnetic oil cap because that supposed to capture the oil shavings during the break in time. .When I first started it it was a pretty good cloud of smoke for a couple minutes. And it was a little rough. But once it got rolling it seemed to run pretty smooth. For some reason when I Used about 350 W on the blow dryer it ran a little uneven and rough even at the very end of the break in period so I'm not sure what that's about.. But during the last 15 minutes [after the 5 hrs] when I went full blast on the dryer it was up to 1600 W and sounding really smooth and also smooth idling. That was on my final oil change with the full synthetic and I even put a little additive in there One thing I was a little surprised about was how loud it was. Everyone talked about how whisper quiet was so I was a little surprised but I think that's because our work ones were a little quieter. I'm really happy with it so far. I hope it lasts. I tried to do everything I could during the break and to make it last for a long time

I bought this to run a blower fan while working in the field, (mobile mechanic). While I haven't put it thru it's paces as of yet I did fire it up, (very easy) and plugged the fan in and as expected it runs with no problem, the engine doesn't even come off idle with the efficiency mode on. You can have a normal conversation standing right next to it and not have to raise your voice. Runs very smoothly.
