I bought this about 2 weeks ago in expectance of potential winter storms. I researched a lot of options and this Westinghouse unit seemed to be the best value by far. When new it started in 3-4 pulls the first try, now after a few hours testing it starts on the 2nd pull every time. It's quite, runs smoothly, and burns very little fuel. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

We have our share of power outages. We needed a generator that produced clean electricity (inverter generator) and would run quietly for long periods of time without refueling. This generator is perfect for our use. We can run our refrigerators and freezers, and the TV. When the appliances are not running, it goes into ECO Mode and throttles down. It also starts very easily. This is the perfect fit for our needs.

Ordered 2 of theese units, price was great all of the reviews were great. How can you go wrong right? (Open beer here) well for starters took almost a month to arrive at our door. I can deal with that our world has been turned upside down with this stupid Covid pandemic. So... they finally arrive, i felt like a kid again getting a new bike. Seeing these beautiful machines when i arrived home work made my day. Take them to the garage get the first one unboxed add the oil some gas first pull started right up, amazing machine quiet everthing i expected. Time to un vail this 2nd beautiful machine (open 2nd beer here) same thing add oil and gas. Started a little harder but did fire up eventually then started shaking and running a little rough. Waited 30 min. went back oit tried it again woukd only run on full choke when i switched to run it would sputter and die. Ok, hopped on the google for sone help did a few things. Still nothing, tried to contact Westinghouse house support, no answer, no call back, sent an email, they did contact me back and said they would get back to me as soon as they could. 5 days later decided to take it to a small engine shop and have them take a look. (Open 3rd beer here) got a call mid afternoon stating that carb looked good and the only thing they notice was a cracked air intake gasket. Ok, easy fix. Bipity Bobity new gasket be running as great as the other one. But that one little problem, these engines are not of name brand and is hard to find parts for evidently. So, the search continues . In addition, Sam's club has been amazing and very helpful through out this entire process and saying we can exchange the unit but not sure when more i verts would be available. Too bad Westinghouse couldn't be the same. Enjoy that buzz and I'll update when i get some answers.

Great value for the money, compact and light weight. After reviewing the manual and required maintenance I noticed there was no mention of the the small in-line fuel filter and any requirement for replacement. The fuel filter is a common small engine in-line filter that do require replacement over time. The placement of the fuel filter could also be in a better location for ease of maintenance since you will need to remove the air filter intake hose/feed in order to gain access to the fuel filter

I already have an old, large, inefficient, noisy generator and the family needed some relief while using it overnight especially when the electrical loads were small. This iGen2200 is very quiet. I appreciate how the RPMs and noise fluctuate based on load. At half load, it's exceptionally quiet. At full load, still reasonably quiet, and MUCH better than my existing generator. Also, I'm happy with the fuel efficiency, weight, funnel to add oil, etc. It's a joy to run and I wish I bought this long ago!

Worked great on initial startup. I followed the storage procedures after letting it run for 1-2 hours from its initial startup. Started it up during a power outage; it was throttling high to low, and leaking fuel everywhere (likely a carburetor issue). Virtually a brand new engine that completely failed when I needed it. I am very disappointed at the poor quality of this machine.

I have a 7550 watt generator that I use to run most things during lengthy power outages. I bought this one to run a small portable room air conditioner, TV and Internet modem/WIFI to save gas at night. I set it up and ran it through one tank of gas with a small space heater cycling on and off and a box fan running on high. Tank lasted for 10 hours. Looks like it will do the job nicely. Hope I never have to use it! LOL! Only negative is that it has no fuel gauge.

So far so good. Purchased a 6 breaker transfer switch to go along with my iGen2200 so I could connect it to our home. The 6 breakers are used by our side-by-side fridge, 1000 watt microwave, kitchen lights (LEDs), family room (ceiling fan, lights, TV), master bedroom, and a bedroom with pool bath. I was able to turn all of those circuits on at the same time. Even had eco mode still on. The microwave was a but iffy to have running at the same time as everything. In a real power outage I would most likely turn off the fridge to help avoid an overload situation. I would also only turn on the circuits required vs. having them all on all the time. The one thing I cannot speak to is runtime. The next time we have an outage I'll be sure to keep tabs on it.

I just bought this generator and I needed it for an emergency trip up to the mountains without this. I would've been lost. This was so simple to use. I was able literally to pull it out of the box. Add the oil add some fuel and on the first pull, it started I had no weird issues with it at all. It was able to power at least half the items I needed at one time I do not regret buying this. The best features that I can do parallel electrical support with it. It came with all the tools I needed and so far I have had no issues used to be a Yamaha and Honda guy, but I am now Westing house guy! I would absolutely recommend this purchase For anyone who is on the fence.

I purchased this IGen2200 as a back up generator just to have 'in case' and I am sure glad that i did. I is a well rounded product that is well crafted and easy to find parts for it. There is ample reviews and how to videos on line, and is an excellent generator for suburban needs, despite not having high wattage in this model. Also, it doesn't take up too much space.
