The trout is excellent quality. I buy a couple packs at a time. I season the trout. I wrap each piece in foil. Then, I put foil packs in a Ziplock freezer bag. I take out to thaw, and it is ready to cook.

very disappointed. bought on friday 1/30/26. usually am good at checking the use by date, but this time i guess i didnt. i went to cook it tonight, which is tuesday 2/3/26, and that's when i saw the use by date to be 1/31/26. it was not discounted at all, so i never suspected it would have a use by date of one day after i bought it. couldnt take the chance and had to throw it away. disapointed with Sam's about this, even though it is ultimately my fault.

Delicious, better texture than salmon and good well with a lot of spices. My favorite is a honey garlic seasoning that.I made. Also pairs well with lime pepperb seasoning. Very filling and not too heavy. You can get about 4 filets from one long filets. Very cost effective

I am a single mother and was so disappointed when I got home and opened the fish it smelled so bad, was slimy, the store should have thrown it away instead giving it to a customer, I don’t have time to go back to the store with my kids and stand in the line to return this and don’t have time to be wasting money

If you want high praise from dinner guests, the steel head trout fillet is your ticket. Easily baked in the oven with a drizzle of avocado oil (also from Sam's Club) and some thinly sliced lemon or an easy application of your favorite seafood rub ( yes, Sam's Club) for 25 minutes and it's ready for rice, salad and ciabatta bread. All from Sam's Club. This formula has never failed me.
