This is one of my favorite fish to pellet smoke. I use mesquite pellets.

The steelhead taste is delicious, the flavor is consistent with Sam’s Club brand. Always fresh and full of flavor. Season it with your favorite toppings with a little olive oil drizzle and bake it up for 25 for 15 to 18 minutes and you have the quickest, Dinner ready under 20 minutes.

I had never prepared this fish before but I grilled it similarly as I would salmon & it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely buy again.

This steelhead trout is as fresh as i could hope for. It tasted incredibly close to salmon. Its less expensive than salmon but the same delicious taste at a great price

The trout is excellent quality. I buy a couple packs at a time. I season the trout. I wrap each piece in foil. Then, I put foil packs in a Ziplock freezer bag. I take out to thaw, and it is ready to cook.

My family prefers the Steelhead Trout to Atlantic Salmon any day of the week. It's rich and buttery texture is a welcome change to the bland options available and reasonably priced.

This Steelhead Trout has the skin on, so you can place it directly on the grill. I recommend high heat for no longer than 5-6 minutes. The flesh easily slides off the skin.

I wasn’t paying attention when I purchased this and thought I was buying salmon, but it turned out that it was trout. I fixed it the same way and it was delicious.

The taste of the trout was good, but the skin was the toughest I’ve encountered. My family loves this as a sashimi soaked in soy sauce, lemon, lime and black pepper. The skin has to be cut off prior to seasoning and serving and it was tough to slice off.

very disappointed. bought on friday 1/30/26. usually am good at checking the use by date, but this time i guess i didnt. i went to cook it tonight, which is tuesday 2/3/26, and that's when i saw the use by date to be 1/31/26. it was not discounted at all, so i never suspected it would have a use by date of one day after i bought it. couldnt take the chance and had to throw it away. disapointed with Sam's about this, even though it is ultimately my fault.
