We have had this for a week and love it! As a family of four, we were emptying our 10.6 gallon trash can several times a week, it seemed. I use a 30-gallon trash bag in this can and it took the entire week to fill with no noticeable smell (even had a tray from chicken in it that long!) I was also concerned it would overwhelm the space I had the previous can in since it is twice as big, but it does not take up much more space. Like the Tardis, it?s bigger on the inside!

Already loving this trashcan. Fits right in with the rest of my stainless appliances. Roommate said all the stainless is beginning to make me look bourgeois, which is just fine with me because it's all paid for. Even without using the batteries and automatic feature, the can is very easy to simply open manually, after which the lid still stays open, and then to flip closed. And when it's closed, it seals really well, and you can't smell anything. It replaces a 13 gallon trashcan and already I can appreciate having almost double that capacity. I use 30 gallon trash bags and they work just fine. Wouldn't bother trying to find 22 gallon bags if they even make them. Great purchase!

I bought this 8 months ago and loved it but it stopped working. I replaced the batteries (3D's) but still doesn't open by itself. I have to use my hand to get it to open and the tap the lid again to close. It defeats the purpose of a touchless and hands-free trash can. My family and friends and loved it too until they saw that it doesn't work already. It was a pricely trash can to have to use your hands now to get it to open and close like any regular trash can.... I am disappointed!!

Love the size, look, and quality of this trashcan, but every time the lid opens the awful trash odor escapes and overwhelming fumes fills the room. How do you control this. Regular trash cans have lids but does not seem to so air tight where the odors trapped. Please advise.

This is so easy to use and so roomy! We were having to take the trash out once a day before this and now it fills up slower. It does open pretty easily so my only suggestion would be to put it in an area that people aren't constantly walking infront of. My family was causing it to open and I wound up having to turn it towards our dining room so it wouldn't pop open when we'd walk by. This is the first sensor trash can i've ever owned and it's made my life so much easier! I definitely would reccomend this trash can to someone looking for a good one.

Where have you been all my life! the only time I touch the can is to change the bag. And speaking of the bag, the can comes with a top ring to hold the bag in place no sliding into the can. Auto lid open and close. 22.5 gal can holds more trash than the usual13gal can. Love it!!!! Love it!!!!! Buy it, you will be pleased.

I purchased this automatic Nine Star 21.1 gallon trash can over 2 years ago. And I still love it. Had ran on the same D size batteries all this time. And believe me, my family uses this trash can a lot. What a fantastic product that still looks and performs great. I am so happy to have gotten this trash can I am ordering one for my Son's place.

I have had this trashcan for over a year now. LOVE IT! Never gave me any problems, easy to clean, very convenient. Believe I have Energizer batteries in it & haven’t had to change them yet. Everyone who comes to my house loves it and my parents even ended up buying one for their house. 10 out of 10, highly recommended lol.

The only complaint I have is that the battery compartment door is cheaply made. We managed to snap the clips off on day one & have had to duct tape the battery door shut because the battery falls out very easily. Be very careful when clicking that door off!

I bought it about 3 years ago. It still works great and I haven’t had any issues with it. The batteries last around 12 months. I use 30 gallon bags in it. This allows room to add trash from small containers the bathrooms and office, after it has been removed from the can. I would definitely buy it again and have recommended it to family and friends.
