A very good trash can, large and nice looking, with automatic lid opening function. The only problem - it uses old style batteries (D), which are expensive. Would be good if producer put there rechargeable battery, charging from USB. Then it would be the best trash can you want.

The mechanism is working as advertised. It's a boon to be able to dispose off trash without needing to hold the bin open with either the hand out foot. However the cell house is sensitive to touching the inside of the bin and disconnecting the circuit. It took me half an hour to fix that issue.

I purchased a trash can from the Samsclub website in November 2018. The automatic lid never worked. Ninestars ask that you don’t return items directly to store and you work thru them. I’ve sent 3 emails and a message via their contact us section on their website. I have not heard from the company or a representative. I read the reviews regarding this company on google and the poor customer service is consistent. I am returning the defective trash can today and will not purchase anymore Ninestars items. Lesson learned!

I bought this to replace, what I thought, was the automatic sensor can that I had. I love how much it holds, even though it takes up no more space than my old 13 gallon can. It opens and closes quickly and easily. I wish someone made 22 gallon bags, but the 30 gallon work just fine. It is a great buy for the money.

Love it. I always use 30 gallon bags in my old 50lt pail so I was only ably to fill the bag half full. Now the bag fits this pail perfectly so i will be saving a lot of money on bags. Like the large opening which makes throwing away large things easy. Recommended it to my kids.

I LOVE THIS TRASHCAN! We are a family of four and the 13 gallon trashcan generally had to be emptied every other day. And, we are a super recycle family! (I wish more products were packaged in recyclable materials, but thats another subject...) this trashcan is bottomless! We have to take it out simply because the trash runs once a week, but it still has room! The sensitivity on the lid is awesome. I love the touchless lid so our five year old twins can throw their trash away without touching the lid. The trash can get pretty heavy because of the amount of garbage it can hold. We double bag and have learned to put food down the disposal because it can get stinky after being at the bottom of the can for a week. It is easy to clean and there is a ring that holds the trash bag in place. No more bags falling into the can! The lid sits perfectly on the ring. The flush surface area makes it easy to clean and disinfect. If you have a large family, this trashcan is for you! Set up in easy. All you need are two D batteries and 30 gallon trash bags! This can WILL NOT HOLD 13 gallon bags.

I was worried about how responsive this would be, but the lid opens quickly once you trigger the sensor. Be aware that this item won't work well in tight spaces where walking too close to it will accidentally trigger the sensor. The sensor area is small and above the can, but if you walk too close to the front of it then your arm might trigger the sensor.

This is a great trash can, we love the no touch aspect, and it looks great... BUT, what they fail to tell you is that it is near impossible to find bags that fit!!! We found them online for rediculous amounts of money ($80 for 50 bags?!?!). If you don’t mind using 30 gallon “yard” bags like we did, then it’s a great item, otherwise, look elsewhere.

We've been using it for a couple of weeks. It is a larger can but the 30 gal bags work great. My sister saw the touchfree trashcan at a friends house a few years ago so I was excited to get this for her. I have had to turn it backward towards the wall so that it does not open everytime we walk past it.

This trash can is decent. This is my third automatic trash can. This particular one is slow at opening and does not have a bin inside for the trash bag. It has this flimsy plastic you wrap the bag around which I don’t see it lasting long. I will mostly like be returning this item.
