Poor battery compartment design!!

I have bought two of these trash cans in the last year and had the same problem with them both. The battery compartment door is flimsy/not well designed and has TWICE come off, fallen in the trash, and been accidentally thrown out. The batteries (not cheap themselves) are now held in place by a wad of duct tape. I contacted Nine Stars over a month ago through their online Customer Service to see about getting a replacement battery cover and they have not contacted me back. I can however, purchase a new top for about $30. Seriously. I like the trash can a lot but they need to address that battery cover issue.

Pros and Cons

For the most part, I really like this trash can except ..... when it comes to having to move it out of the way for any reason. This trash can has no handle in the back or side from which you can lift it and due to its size, it's really awkward when you have to move it. Luckily it's light in weight. Also the ring that the lid sits on top of should be attached to the lid, not separate.

Great hands free unit, but it is too sensitive

I purchased this unit a few months ago. It's a great hands-free unit. However, the sensor is so sensitive that when you walk by it, it opens. I'm afraid the motor will go out on it because of the constant opening and closing. Unfortunately, I cannot put the trash can in a different location due to the kitchen layout. Is there any way to fix this issue?
