The batteries themselves are just fine, really good, actually. I'm pleased and surprised to get so much time out of them. They are in use for 16-18 hours a day and I usually get 6.5 to 8 days of battery life depending on how much Bluetooth streaming I do. The problem is the packaging. I'm told the new more secure packaging is related to recent legislation to prevent accidental ingestion by children. I get that, but as often happens, the solution can be extreme and unnecessarily burdensome. I'm late middle age and am able to cut through the plastic but "it ain't easy". My wife who is 10 years younger just gave up without releasing a single battery when I asked her to give it a go. I just can't imagine how difficult it must be for an older person (14.5% of the US population over age 65 wearing hearing aids!) to get the batteries out of the silly package. Come on regulators, there must be a better way!

This is the first time I’ve purchased this specific package of batteries and was surprised to find how difficult it is to open each battery compartment. You need good cutting tools to get it open. I always carry extra batteries when I go out and not sure how I am going to open it without also carrying some good cutters/scissors. I see that other reviewers have the same issue - please change the packaging Sam’s.

These were packaged in strips originally. Then they went to a round wheel like with the batteries in a circle and you could just turn and I thought that was great. Then I got home and tried to get the batteries out of the packaging! There by the side you would open is a picture of a pair of scissors. Now when I’m in a meeting or church I’m surely not going to whip out a pair of scissors and work hard to get out the batteries, no, I’d sit thru a meeting and not hear a thing. This of course would be my choice, but again I did not ask to be hard of hearing either. The person that designed this packaging certainly is not hard of hearing, nor did he get advice on designing this packaging. If your batteries went dead on an airplane you would get arrested if you had scissors!

The PACKAGING is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!!!! extremely hard to cut through each card to get to the batteries. AND. You have to CUT EACH one out. You can't just cut one and then turn the plastic to reveal the battery. Who ever thought up this design was not thinking. This actually hurt my thumb trying to cut through the card and plastic over and over. It is infuriating. I have low blood pressure, i can only imagine the spike in blood pressure for those of you who have high blood pressure. I will NOT purchase again and do not recommend. SAMS...SOMEONE FROM YOUR COMPANY NEEDS TO CHECK THESE OUT.

I have been buying hearing aid batteries from Sam's since 2017. I have never had problem. Now they change the packaging to what looks like other brands. But you will need heavy duty scissors and quite a bit of muscle to get to the batteries. Then once I cut the round plastic, I'm using a zip lock bag to keep them together. Doesn't seem very safe or like much of a value.

The new packaging is near IMPOSSIBLE to open! It is awful. It is so bad that we will not purchase this again unless the packaging changes again. I am uncertain how this got past QA. Anyone with hand issues will not be able to get this product open. I do not have issues, and I have trouble. Simply terrible.

The packaging of this product is virtually impossible to access the batteries. I tried several approaches to get the batteries out of the plastic container to no avail. I finally was able to access a couple of batteries with the use of heavy duty kitchen shears. I was so frustrated with this product, I returned it to the store for a refund. The makers of this product need to try to open the package themshelves and they would see that it is extremely difficult to open.

Nothing wrong with the batteries. The packaging is absolutely atrocious. Too hard to open

Very hard to get out of packet. Have to cut with scissors.

The batteries are good and the price is great, but the packaging sucks! Have a pair of scissors handy to cut the plastic between each battery.
