First try on this brand

I like the durability and still dislike the childproof containers. However, the kindest gentleman took time to show me an easier way to access the batteries without as much trouble. I’m 78 y/o and have tremors in my hands so the packages had been problematic. Many thanks!

Great Members Mark batteries

I was pleased to find hearing aid batteries in the size I need at Sam’s, and at a great price!! They provide the power needed for the expected operation time. I recommend these.

Great batteries, HORRIBLE PACKAGING!

These batteries work great and the price is good. The packaging is horrible! You need scissors to cut open each individual battery. Who carries scissors at all times? Luckily I had an old package before they started the child proof packages and I open mine up at home and put them into old packages. I know it’s not only old people wearing hearing aids, but this packaging is awful for any age.

We are sorry for your experience with the battery packaging, Jackie, and appreciate you recommending the quality and value of our batteries. Please know the packaging was updated to follow Reese’s Law, mandating all button, coin, and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – be contained in child-resistant packaging. We understand the challenge in first opening the packaging but believe once members become more familiar with how it works the easier it becomes to open.

Not Child Proofing, but Elderly Proofing Packaging

This packaging is too difficult to open. I know it’s supposed to be a means of child proofing, but the majority of users (the elderly) are not children, but they experience similar challenges that children experience such as exerting the amount of strength needed to open this packaging as well as hand coordination. I watched my elderly 88 year old parent struggling while opening her hearing aids so I took it from her to assist her and I struggled to open it as well. This packaging presents challenges for the people who need it most - the elderly.

Terrible packaging

The packaging is terrible, having to cut open to get the batteries out is absurd. The plastic also needs to recyclable. Much prefer packaging that rotates to an open slot.

Worst packaging ever!

I cannot yet comment on how good these batteries are as far as how long they will last, but hopefully longer than it took me to get the first one out of the package. I came on this site to see if there were any helpful instructions on getting the batteries out only to find review after review with the same complaint as mine. I understand the need for child-proof packaging, but these are ridiculous. I'm glad I didn't pay more for them because I will probably buy new hearing aids before I get done using 48 of these! Maybe instead of the picture with the scissors, you need a link to a video to show how to get the batteries out!

Terrible Packaging

Batteries are very difficult to remove from packaging. Removing batteries can cause serious hand injury from knives and scissors used to remove batteries. Fix the packaging problem and fire the person that thought the dangerous packaging was a good idea.

WORST PACKAGING EVER!!!!!!

Do not buy this product if you have any hand issues! Not only is it childproof (which is great), but I don't have any hand issues and was cursing by the time I got the batteries out of the packaging! Seriously! Even when you cut through the packaging (which is required), it is a struggle to get the battery out! In your attempt to childproof this product, you have made it difficult for even the most physically capable adult to access! It is ridiculous! I just cut through all of the containers and put them all in a small plastic jar for easy access! That way, I only got frustrated in one sitting! LOL.

Packaging is Horrible

The batteries work fine - once you get them out of the tamper proof packaging. The batteries are contained in a hard plastic shell that requires a lot of effort with scissors to open. Do not recommend for anyone who has limited hand strength or dexterity.
